We had the honor of welcoming @roadtripnation’s @tobiasbrown._, @nextstopsuccess, and @thatotherellis to Lumina’s Indianapolis headquarters today. Featured in “Thriving: Black Men in Higher Education,” these three incredible men traveled from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C., meeting Black leaders, listening to their stories, and charting their own paths forward.

Hearing them share what they learned on the road was powerful. Their stories of purpose, mentorship, and community remind us that when doors open, futures expand. And when Black men thrive, so do our communities and our nation.

“I went from a place of trying not to be seen in fact to trying to put myself in situations where I could be seen and bring others up with me.”

Watch their journey: Thriving: Black Men in Higher Education, streaming now. Link in the bio.

And to the RISE2 team, Drs. Malone, Mizelle, and Wright, thanks for trusting me as your academic auntie. When I started my postdoc at UK you were starting your PhD program. It’s be a blessing to watch you grow and develop into research scholars over the last five years. I’m so proud of you and excited for your future! The world isn’t ready for your brilliance. Never dim your light for anyone
