Still reflecting on an incredible day at the NGLCCNY 2026 Summit: Our Economic Impact at the CUNY Graduate Center ( @cunygraduatecenter ). ✨
I was proud to help co-produce this year’s Summit in collaboration with the Manhattan Borough President’s Office and Sunnyside Shines ( @sunnysideshines )— and especially grateful for the opportunity to moderate “The Economic Impact of Nonprofits in NYC.”

Thank you to my amazing panelists:

✨ Luis Mora of @bilingualbroadwayco
✨ Jackson Schad of @lgbtcenternyc
✨ Amy Harclerode of @hetrickmartin
✨ Carmen Neely of @harlempridenyc

We talked about what nonprofit organizations really mean to New York City — not only the services they provide, but the jobs they create, people they connect to opportunity, communities they strengthen, culture they sustain, and economic activity they generate.

Nonprofits are part of the infrastructure that keeps NYC moving.

And when we invest in them, we are investing in people, neighborhoods, leadership, opportunity, and the future of our city.

Grateful for the conversation. Grateful for the collaboration. And grateful to continue helping create spaces where community, government, business, and nonprofit leadership can come together. 🗽✨

“Through the Investor’s Lens: Risk, Return, and Readiness.”

📅 September 16, 2026
📍 The Graduate Center, City University of New York
🔗 Register: https://lnkd.in/g4p7brgk

For founders seeking capital, there is often a gap between building a promising company and building one investors are prepared to back.

This conversation is about that gap.

What do investors look for beyond the pitch? How do they weigh leadership, risk, market opportunity, scalability, governance, and the ability to execute? And what can founders do now to become better prepared for the capital they hope to raise later? Hosted by @nglccny
