What are the basic human rights?

Strasbourg opened my eyes in ways I didn’t expect!

Spending days in Strasbourg with 40+ people from many different countries together with the host NGO @amsed_strasbourg was more than just learning about voting rights for foreigners, it was a deep dive into inclusion, democracy and what it really means to belong.

Workshops, focus groups, local visits, late‑night talks in our tiny cabin… all of it shaped a powerful understanding of how diversity, dialogue and trust build stronger communities.

The real impact came from the people. Living together, working in small groups, navigating differences, building trust. That’s where inclusion became real and growth happened.

We also explored human rights in practice, including a visit to the European Court of Human Rights — a powerful reminder of why these values matter.

Question to you:
Why are basic human rights treated so differently i practice across different countries?

Human rights are universal in theory, but never universal in practice because implementation depends on national choices, capacities, and values.
The visit to the European Court of Human Rights showed exactly that: countries can be held accountable, but they don’t always choose to uphold rights equally.

A big thank you to AMSED (NGO) for creating this space for learning, connection and real inclusion, and to United Equality (NGO) for choosing me as the Swedish representative 💛

What happens when 45 strangers from across Europe meet in the Estonian forest to explore something as personal as attachment? You get unforgettable bonds, safe spaces, tears, joy, and growth. ✨🫂

Thanks to @eunexus.ee , ‘EU are not alone Vol. II’ became a space where we could reflect on how our past shapes our relationships and find strength in vulnerability. Together, we laughed, cried, danced, and left a little more connected to ourselves and each other.

- La salud mental no solo se habló, sino que se exploró en profundidad;
- Practicamos formas de gestionar el estrés y cuidar el bienestar;
- Compartimos experiencias personales y creamos vínculos humanos sólidos;

Relationships are the foundation of our lives, shaping how we connect, trust, and grow. But sometimes, the way we navigate these connections is influenced by deeper patterns—our attachment styles—which can either help us thrive in relationships or make us feel stuck, misunderstood, or disconnected.

This youth exchange is an opportunity to explore these patterns, understand their roots, and learn how to reshape them. Attachment styles—secure, anxious, avoidant, or disorganized—are formed early in life but continue to impact how we approach relationships, handle conflict, and experience emotional closeness.
You’ll learn practical tools to figure out how these styles influence your life and finding ways to transition toward healthier, more secure connections.

If you’ve ever wondered why you love, trust, or protect yourself the way you do—and how you can create stronger, more fulfilling relationships—this is your chance to discover answers.

Join us on this journey to better understand yourself, your relationships, and the connections that shape your world!💙
