Closing one chapter to begin the next 🙏

I have had the chance to work with some amazing administrators, coaches, and student-athletes at Norfolk State. Thank you to everyone who made these last few years truly meaningful!

I’m excited to start this opportunity with the Atlantic 10!

Vindicated

Over the last year I’ve had my character questioned, rumors started over petty arguments, & having to question to people even see the sacrifices you make to make life memories. I went to therapy right after HC last year, as a guy that was broken in his personal and business life to say the least, I needed a reset. The dark nights, fear of getting on twitter and someone slandering your name off things you couldn’t control, I didn’t want to feel bad for myself so I got to the drawing board and started asking for unbiased advice on the events for HC. Brutal feedback. I would hang up if I felt someone was taking it easy.

Fast forward to July, I told the Collective I wanted another shot at it. It stung me at night knowing the R&B party didn’t go right and I wanted to correct it. We got to work. Tireless days, tireless nights. Graphics, logistics, janky vendors, convincing people to trust us one more time after all the mishaps. Our rollout was intentional to HC, from the countdowns, playlist, breaking up the age groups at events etc. but this year rolling into HC was different, the peace of mind knowing that it’s in Gods hands, the peace knowing that I’m healed from a lot of other things. Taking calculated risk to ensure every need was met.

The joy you see in the pictures is the vindication of how everything came together, the sacrifices, tears, joy, everything. To see everyone’s love and support has been amazing. We’re gonna keep going and CARRY HC on our backs for our alums that are begging for newer experiences. Believe in The Alumni Collective, we’ll always care ❤️.

To my dawgs, @letskeepitcute @lgburna @dpthemc @really_fm I love yall. Let’s keep it going.

To all of our collaborators, @noircv_ @jaihovah_ @cheygetsherway_ @iamdjdiesel @_itserinnnn @djtremonjamal @gimmethemicbih thank you for believing in the vision. To my fellow 🐏 alumni, thank you and I’ll see you all soon! Be safe!

PS: If you missed it, that’s okay 🙂. Believe us next time. Enjoy the recaps ❤️

Couldn’t let 24 hours slip away without recapping the fit for semi finals. If you weren’t in the scope you truly missed out! The energy was unmatched by @meacnation fans who came to watch their teams compete to advance to the championship.

Friday’s are always a good time especially when you spend it with the MEAC!

When I first walked on 700 Park Ave in 2017, I had ZERO clue I was going to have this, just 19 trying to find a different route. Now we are in 2023, showing the world what WE are all about! 🎥 #CommunityOverCompetition 🤝🏾
