There is nothing that compares to the feel of Natural Gut Tennis strings…. I’ve partnered with a brand and we have been testing the quality for while now. It’s up there with companies that have been in business for over 100 years and it’s produced domestically which evens out the price point. Woody and his crew are carrying it at @nycracquetsports at the moment… We are bringing the feel back to the NYC courts!

No better way to end the US Open month then to wind it down at the Hotel Intercontinental in Midtown Manhattan. The bar and lobby just has that New York electricity you want to feel. Not to mention a matching color palette. There was an interesting evolution happening surrounding this tournamentg. Not sure if it’s positive or negative but of course the All England Club took notice. Be careful what you ask for. It seems as though the Pickle/Tennis rivalry has been decided. Some amazing matches this tournament and two new champions. It’s always wonderful running into the same people every year from every aspect of the event. It rolls deep. The new faces met this year will become the faces seen next year. Such an honour to be apart of the Volkl Team.

Lost footage from 2017…. Gucci suit. Stacy Adams Shoe. Borsalino Fedora. And this was the beginning of the relationship I would cherish with Volkl tennis racquets thanks to Jaleel Bunton….

🎾 THINK NATURAL GUT IS OLD SCHOOL? THINK AGAIN. Natural gut is still the gold standard for feel, comfort, and tension maintenance. This @babolat pure Aero got a nice upgrade with some @ngstringcom PROV5 (+) in the mains and some @babolat RPM Blast in the crosses. ✅ Pros of Natural Gut: • Unmatched power and ball pocketing • Outstanding comfort for your arm and elbow • Holds tension better than any other string • Performs well across a wide range of temperatures • Incredible feel and touch around the court ❌ Cons of Natural Gut: • More expensive than synthetic strings • Sensitive to moisture and humidity • Can fray over time (this is normal!) • Not the most durable option for heavy topspin string breakers 💡 How to Care for Natural Gut: 1️⃣ Keep your racket dry. Don't leave it in damp bags, wet courts, or rainy conditions (Tough to do in Ireland ☔☔) 2️⃣ Avoid extreme temperatures. A hot car boot is one of the quickest ways to shorten string life. 3️⃣ Use a full racket cover when possible to protect against moisture and temperature swings. 4️⃣ A small amount of baby oil applied occasionally to the string bed can help keep natural gut supple and reduce drying out. Apply sparingly with a soft cloth and wipe off any excess. 5️⃣ Inspect for excessive fraying and restring before performance drops significantly. Natural gut isn't just for the pros. If you like comfort, feel, and consistent performance, it's hard to beat. Go on treat yourself...... 👇 Have you ever played with natural gut? The Natural Gut Nobody Talks About… But Everyone Should Try When people think natural gut, people tend to think “Babolat VS” or “Wilson/Luxilon Gut” all of which bring elite level playability but often comes with a hefty price tag that’s just out of reach for most players. I recently came across a company called NgStrings which produced their own line of natural gut strings and claiming equitable performance to some of the industry’s top tier gut strings. After talking w/ the owner of the company (Kevin’s a solid dude) I decided to try out a few sets of their top end string, the ProV5 to see for myself. Now over the years I’ve had the opportunity to play w/ other “affordable alternatives” to VS touch and Wilson NG… but they always seemed to be frail imitations. This time around I was pleasantly surprised to find that these strings performed as advertised with a buttery soft feel on slices and touch volleys, comfortable pocketing when swinging big for power or ripping heavy spin, and a forgiving feel that’s easy on the arm. After a hour of play I noticed some very light fraying which is to be expected of most gut strings but over all was pretty impressed. I strung up a second racket with a hybrid blend of ProV5 and Solinco TourBite, which is a string I love but oh so harsh on my arm, and found the combo to work really well, enhancing the positives of both strings with the ProV5 softening up the super stiff/harsh TourBite while still producing great power and heavy topspin. Will be interesting to see how the tension maintenance is and how long they will last w/ consistent play… but for the price point NGStrings seems to be a great option for those players looking to reap the benefits of Natural Gut w/ out breaking the bank! DM me if you want to try ProV5 or build a custom hybrid for your racquet. #tennisstringer #ngstrings #naturalgut #heavytopspin #tennisequipment #tennislife #stringersofinstagram #racquetstringing #tennisgear #tenniscommunity #tennisreels
