Wildkind أبناء الفطرة translated by @nouhah_b with voiceover by Mother and Daughter duo’s;
Rasha & Elaf, Arwa & Raseel, Asraa & Adyan, with singing by Nouha and Ada.

We made Wildkind in English, Irish and Arabic by generations of Mothers and Daughters.

Our Mother tongue is an umbilical connection to the land beneath our feet.

By whispering our Mother’s lost words to our daughters we reclaim lost paths, decolonise and reconnect to the wild.

I will forever cherish the time spent in the recording studio with @robert_boake and these extraordinary women, with our daughters sat on our knees as we whispered the words of our ancestors, words that offer both a pathway home to ourselves and home to the wild. This experience was truly a homecoming.

And no matter where we are born or where we now grow, we all put our children to bed in one language.

A language of hope.

We might be slightly biased with that scheduling 😉

A bit about me 🧠

I've established myself as being mostly behind the camera, but when I was 11 years old, I was "forced" into a drama academy. My drama teacher was a fantastic woman who starred in title roles such as "Angela's Ashes" and "Titanic Town" to name a few and later on became a foundation of motivation for me as a young lad. There was still a negative stereotype around young lads in drama classes back then, but with Liam Neeson and James Nesbitt knocking about, I didn't really care what the social outlook was.

I seen it as an outlet and great craic! I had the experience of performing at the Waterfront Hall and the Spectrum Centre were James Nesbitt came to watch and even had a chat with me at the end telling me to keep going and one day I'd "maybe see him at work".

Now I spend my time enjoying the craft of behind the lens but finding my way back in front of the camera when I can. 🎬

If anybody wants to collab etc, reach out, I'd love to work together ✌🏼
