I can’t believe that my time in RUF is already over. SUCO this year was the best with both new and old friends! RUF was the most impactful part of my time at TCU. It has become my family and a place I know I can alway count on. I thank God for placing every person apart of RUF and more specifically Servant Team in my life and am grateful for how He used you to work within my life. This past week was so fun and I wish you all nothing but the best!

This summer, four Alabama A&M University Honors Program Scholars dedicated their time and talent to shaping the next generation through the Breakthrough Collaborative, a program committed to closing the educational opportunity gap. Jeremiah Hunt, Nia Hall, Taylor Hunter, and Kamiah Miles each served in different cities, gaining professional skills, personal growth, and unforgettable connections with students.

Jeremiah Hunt worked in Birmingham, Alabama, where he strengthened his leadership skills alongside like-minded peers. He learned the importance of professionalism in every setting, recognizing that the impression you leave can have a lasting impact.

Nia Hall served in Atlanta, Georgia, where she built meaningful relationships with her students and gained valuable experience in teaching and managing inner-city classrooms.

Taylor Hunter, stationed in Fort Worth, Texas, developed mental endurance while working 13–14-hour shifts with high energy and positivity. She also found a healthier work-life balance by using planning periods and department time effectively, ensuring time for rest at home. Professionally, she adapted her teaching style to a more hands-on, guided approach that met her students where they were, while building a strong rapport with them.

Kamiah Miles completed her program in Cincinnati, Ohio, where her experience reinforced her commitment to becoming an educator and strengthened her confidence in her chosen major.
