“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens” Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3‬:‭1‬

It’s hard to put into words what this sport means to me because it has been so much more than running. Track has given me purpose. It became my outlet, my passion, my teacher, and at times, it truly saved me. It’s shaped me into the person I am today, and I will never be able to fully express how grateful I am for that.

Over these last four years, I’ve been blessed to achieve things I once only dreamed about. From barely earning a Division I scholarship to transferring and continuing to compete at an even higher level, this journey has exceeded anything I could have imagined. Looking back, it’s hard to believe how far this sport has taken me, the incredible people it has brought into my life, and the doors God has faithfully opened along the way.

It’s such a bittersweet moment that my collegiate career has come to an end because my love for this sport never will. I know there is still more ahead for me. I don’t know exactly what that looks like yet, but I trust God’s timing the same way I always have. As long as He continues to open the doors, I’ll keep chasing the dreams He’s placed on my heart.

To everyone who has been part of this journey, thank you. Thank you for believing in me, supporting me, pushing me, and helping me become the woman I am today. I am so incredibly grateful because I truly would not be here without any of you. The support, belief, encouragement, and love carried me through the highs and lows, and I will never ever take that for granted.

Four years later, I can honestly say I gave this sport everything I had and more. I’d do it all over again the same way in a heartbeat. Little me would never believe the life this sport has given me.

Forever grateful to God for a journey that was greater than anything I could have imagined.
