The ornate ghost pipefish (Solenostomus paradoxus), also known as the harlequin ghost pipefish, is a highly camouflaged marine species celebrated for its mimicry and intricate, feathery appearance. Belonging to the family Solenostomidae, they are categorized as “false pipefish”. They are closely related to seahorses and true pipefish but are distinguished by their larger fins, dual dorsal fins, and distinct body plates.
