Gardens by the Bay im nächtlichen Lichterglanz - ist ein 101 Hektar großes Parkgelände, das im zentralen Bezirk Singapurs auf künstlich aufgeschüttetem Land angelegt wurde. Eine der zahlreichen Einrichtungen sind die Super Trees, pflanzenbewachsene Stahlgerüste mit Höhen zwischen 25 und 50 Metern. Sie dienen unter anderem der Aufzucht von seltenen Pflanzen. Ferner wird mittels Photovoltaik Elektrizität für Beleuchtung und Kühlsysteme gewonnen, werden die Niederschläge zur Bewässerung der Pflanzen gesammelt und einige der Bäume dienen als Kühltürme für die Kühlsysteme in den Glashäusern. Zwei der Türme werden in luftiger Höhe mit einem Skyway verbunden, den die Singapurische Oversea China Banking Corporation (OCBC) finanziert hat. Gardens by the Bay by night- is a 101-acre parkland created on artificially raised land in the central district of Singapore. One of the numerous facilities are the Super Trees, plant-grown steel scaffolding with heights between 25 and 50 meters. Among other things, they serve the rearing of rare plants. Photovoltaics also generate electricity for lighting and cooling systems, collect rainfall to irrigate the plants, and some of the trees serve as cooling towers for the cooling systems in the greenhouses. Two of the towers are connected sky-high with a skyway funded by the Singaporean Oversea China Banking Corporation (OCBC).
