Last prompt of this year's #MonthOfMasters24 ! For free choice, I picked the Illustrator Hilda Cowham (whom I learnt was one of the best published female comic artists of the early twentieth century, which is pretty dang cool!) Originally I didn't know which artist to pick, but absolutely wanted to find a less heard about illustrator or female artist that focused more on whimsy or fairytales. And after stumbling on Cowham's work....well I mean, PLEASE LOOK at the colours and magical vibes this lady worked with. Every piece of hers was incredibly beautiful and nostalgic, but this one specifically kept calling out to me, ha. The original is just so pretty 💙(;^;) . . And that's another year done! Thank you for being here for this month's little art journey- I struggled quite a bit with how busy and chaotic July has been, but I really tried to learn from each study in little ways. Not entirely sure if I achieved that exactly...but hey, it was a wonderful reason to get back into drawing big pieces and scenes again! So again, thank you for the kind words of encouragement, for reading my silly rambles, just being here, and just for being kind. And It was lovely seeing so many awesome pieces this year! My gosh, each year is amazing and I love seeing people having fun. . I think this is enough rambling now 🥲 But I'm wishing you all a lovely day 🧡 . . . 🎨 HOSTS ⁣🎨 @_eleablue_ @boubou_loves_drawings @didisunshine_ @fortune_stream @franz.mori @laviride @lilapng @nina.clausonet @nicc_avero @ruthelye @saramillefoglie.art @tearmizuart . . 🧚‍♂️

Last but not least 🥳 I’m quite proud to be a Parisian, so for this latest prompt of #monthofmasters24 I decided to revisit a study of the Eiffel Tower made in 1936-37 by the French painter Robert Delaunay! I hope you like my version, and if you’d like to keep a souvenir of a Parisian illustrator of these games, you can find this design in print-on-demand on my little Redbubble shop (link in my bio). This is the first time I’ve taken part in all the prompts in the @monthofmasters July’s challenge. It was a real pleasure to be able to co-host alongside such talented artists. A huge thank you to my team-mates 🙏 @saramillefoglie.art founder & manager since 2020 @franz.mori host & manager since 2020 @ruthelye host & collaborator since 2020 @laviride founding host since 2020 @_eleablue_ host since 2021 @tearmizuart host since 2021 @nina.clausonet host since 2021 @fortune_stream host & collaborator since 2023 @lilapng host since 2024 @nicc_avero host since 2024 @boubou_loves_drawings host since 2024 I hope you have a lovely summer and I’ll see you soon for the monthly themes throughout the year with @monthofmasters #monthofmasters 💛☀️ _________________ Salut, moi c’est Diane et je pars à la quête de mon style artistique, loin du troupeau et du syndrome de l’imposteur 🌈🤘😝 _________________ #artchallenge #summerartchallenge #julyartchallenge #arthistory #drawthisinyourstyle #dtiys #olympicgames #paris2024 #paralympicgames #paris2024olympics #paris2024paralympics #eiffeltowerillustration #ladamedefer #parismaville #parisianer #parisianartist

#MonthOfMasters24 swipe 👉👉 Which one is you favourite? I honestly enjoyed painting them all but the Van gogh one was especially challenging coz of the innumerable brush strokes. I wanna thank Sara (Sara Millefoglie) for giving me the chance to cohost Month of Masters 2024 alongside such brilliant artists. I endearingly call her Sara Boss since she founded the challenge haha. 😜 Its been a wonderful month seeing all your creations and all of us interacting with each other, learning from the Masters of art. I hope you had as much fun as I did. 👉 HOSTS  @_eleablue_ @boubou_loves_drawings @didisunshine_ @fortune_stream @franz.mori @laviride @lilapng @nina.clausonet @nicc_avero @ruthelye @saramillefoglie.art @tearmizuart @monthofmasters #classicart #monthofmasters #classicart #fridakahlo #fridakahloart #vangoghart #vangoghart #masterartist #paintings #myartstyle #womanart #womanartists #femaleart #portraitart #instagramart #traditionalart #watercolour #arttherapy #aestheticart

Frida Kahlo 🌺 “Fall in love with yourself, with life and then with whoever you want.” ⬇️ interesting facts bellow 🌺 for #monthofmasters24 (A little late, but I am so proud of this!) 🥹♥️ Reading about her and looking into her art was a very raw and even brutal experience. Living with extreme pain and health conditions for many, many years (I can’t even imagine how it was for her) is something that I unfortunately know very personally! ♥️ 🌺 She was born on July 6, 1907, in Coyoacan, Mexico. When she was six years old, she contracted polio and was bed-ridden for nine months. 🌺 On September 17, 1925 Frida was riding a bus with her boyfriend, Gomez Arias, when it crashed into a trolley. As a result, Frida had a broken spinal column, collar bone, ribs, pelvis,11 fractures in her leg, and an iron hand rail punctured her abdomen and uterus. 🌺 Many researchers believe Frida Kahlo was born with spina bifida, a condition that affects the development of the spinal column. Some quotes from her: 🌺 “I don’t really know if my paintings are surreal or not, but I do know that they represent the frankest expression of myself.” 🌺 “Painting has made my life full. Painting has replaced everything. I don’t think there’s anything better than work.” 🌺 “I paint flowers so they will not die.” The lovely hosts of #monthofmasters24 @_eleablue_ @boubou_loves_drawings @didisunshine_ @fortune_stream @franz.mori @laviride @lilapng @nina.clausonet @nicc_avero @ruthelye @saramillefoglie.art @tearmizuart @monthofmasters Brushes and paper texture: #schrillbrushes #fridakahlo #frida #drawing #drawingchallenge #artchallenge #red #colorful #mexicanart #inspiringquotes #creativechallenge #illustration #stationery #homedecor #greens #heartbroken #digitalart #womanartist #artistssupportingartists #chronicillness #chronicpain #portraitillustration

My last #monthofmasters24 stamp is a self-portrait based on another self-portrait. When I was working on the second prompt, this painting came up. I thought the style was different but only realised after making it that it was by Mabel Alvarez. So for the second time in my Month of Masters career, the free choice prompt has saved the day haha! Anyway, I'm really happy with the stamp. An Instagram friend already pointed out that this would be a fun one to use on snail mail as well and I absolutely agree! 💚 #monthofmasters #mabelalvarez #handcarvedstamp #handgemaakt #handmade #stempels
