We need your help! 💙

This AusArt Day, we’re raising funds to create our most ambitious project yet, an opera by Second Echo Ensemble in collaboration with Palawa community of Lutruwita/Tasmania, called The Eternal River.

Opera is often considered elitist, exclusive and inaccessible. But at its essence, it’s a collaborative artform designed to share stories about everyday human emotion. We want to find out what opera can become when the voices traditionally left at the edges of the artform are invited into its creation.

PLUS, every dollar donated to Second Echo Ensemble from now until AusArt Day will be matched by Creative Australia, up to $5000, meaning all donations will be doubled and your impact will mean twice as much.

Double the impact to pay artists for their time, expertise and creations, and double the support given to artists to create their best work.

International Stage Management Day 💙

After realising that today was International Stage Management Day, I thought I’d look through some of the photos I have of me Stage Managing different pieces of live performance and I was kinda blown away by the variety of work I’ve done!

I love stage management so much, and the amazing opportunities it has provided me. I’ve worked with so many amazing people, in so many amazing venues and performance spaces.

I could get really sappy and go on for forever, but I’ll save you all from this. Just know, I really fucking love what I do, and I want to do it forever and ever.

I can’t believe it’s been over five weeks since we closed this beautiful show. 🥹

There really is something so special about performing live theatre. For those few hours, you can put all your troubles aside, be completely present and just live in the moment.

I miss performing alongside these incredible people, and especially my partners in crime, @shannae.shead and @allisonfarrow_performer.

What a special show and an even more special bunch of people. It’s always a pleasure working with @bijoutasmania ✨

It’s been a week since we closed and it’s finally sunk in I think that we’ve farewelled this mammoth and very wonderful show!

@bijoutasmania 9 to 5, you deserve a third spot on the grid 🩷💛

Missing this show family a lot (too many of you to tag everyone!) but grateful for this amazing experience. Enjoy this memories dump.

Before I get too deep into my next adventure – a moment for 9 TO 5 with @bijoutasmania ⏰

130+ costume changes, I think roughly 70 lipstick swaps, plenty of chaos and some wonderful memories made in the process 💛🩷

Thank you to Karen, Petr, Bon and Zoë for having me as your Missy – now I'm off to enjoy my own "FOUR WEEKS OF SUNSHINE!!" (it's actually only two weeks, but that's a technicality) 🛳️☀️🌊

This song is a precious gift I will carry with me. Thankyou so much @nicfarrow for responding to the paintings with so much care, openness, deep respect and understanding. It was a privilege to have your words and truly beautiful voice open this show in the right way. What an honour it is to collaborate with you.
