Life. Is . Good.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

a year ago i found the love of my life playing a sport at a tournament i had zero knowledge about. the same tournament that i had to watch him collide with someone head first before he landed on the ground and didn't move for a solid minute.

ever since then, i had a small fear everytime i watched him on the field. i'd fuss over him on every game day as if he hasn't been playing for 5-6 years already.

but this year, that mini anxiety has passed over to him while i laced up for the first time in 7 years. of course, with some flags.

i had fun, most of all. despite battling the anxiety and wandering eyes, along with the blood disorder and heart condition. i pushed myself and played to the end.

unfortunately, i collided with the rival team right before the final whistle and landed on my knee for the third time in my life. Alhamdulillah no ACL/PCL tears but it did fk me up for a week. some strengthening and stretching should do the trick.

i was really mad and disappointed in myself for not getting back up and finishing the game, but my team was understanding and supportive.

i was lucky enough to be part of a team that welcomed new faces with zero knowledge and placed zero pressure about being a star.

with @ravens.ffc we run the same routes, step the same defensive plays and workout the same routines. but we function differently and move quietly.

to @m3gatronnnnnnn & @syakirzaidii_ , for believing and encourgaing always. the captains that run the flock as leaders and not bosses.

to MVP & QB @ainerxzyy, my girls @hanismreesa @alieydee @alisyaakhan aisyafarisha - for the continuous support and safe space.

to the boys @danialredza__ , @jaagdish_ , @mohd.shuk0r , didie , for making it a very relaxed and fun environment.

to @solomonyau , my love, for prepping everything i needed. from my jerseys, gloves, flags, towels, to my water, electrolytes, medicine, a shoulder to lean on and all the love you deposited to calm my anxiety.

i couldn't have asked for a better team & teammates to start out in sports again 🐦‍⬛♥️

see you competitively next year ;)

These faces aren’t new to the squad, but this year, they’re hungrier than ever.

With speed and agility that’ll have them flying end to end in seconds, they’re a threat from all angles. But don’t sleep on the big guy 👀 blink, and you’ll miss the hit.

Wings wide, sights high. This time, they’re aiming even higher. 🔥🤝🏽

Ready. Steady. Fly. 🦅

First international tournament! Gained a lot of experience and even more new flag buddies!

Although the results weren't great, the most important thing I gained was experience.

Thank you so much @affi_india for letting me be part of your team and big shoutout to the brotha' @solomonyau for inviting me!

Onto the next one, MAFA Cup 🏆
