a little love letter to my home, my family and my friends

im blessed to
meander the coast
disappear into the mountains
hug the same tree that knows me
swim in the ocean that nurtured me
understand how the weather moves
around me

something i thought i lost
but learned was still there
when i see my favorite sports team on foos hats
cruise the spot without maps
know why this be like that
grub at the italian restaurant i used to work at

familiarity fills the soul
family nurtures it
friends feed it
till the soul is ready

to leave here
leaves me
with a heavy heart
have to catch my breath
on cal train
and cop a mfing pack of mentos stat
cause now
im going far
