🪺 Artist Spotlight: NICHE

🎤 What can we expect from your set at The Bass Nest?

“We abouta play low dark beats that make you wanna shake your ass.”

__

🤝 Formed by Aperture (Nick) and YMIER (Cherish), NICHE derives its name from a blend of the duo’s names while honouring the underground subculture of bass music in Sydney. NICHE delivers high-octane sets that seamlessly blend trap, dubstep, and drum & bass into a signature, heavy-hitting sound.

⚡️ The super-special dancefloor energy at our events is undeniable and we have no doubt that tonight’s SOLD OUT dubstep gig is going to be insane as usual.

🫶 Please just ensure that you all look after each other. Remember mosh pits can be dangerous places!
If you see anyone looking awkward or left out please give them a smile and welcome them in… we are a friendly and inclusive community so let’s share the love of bass with everyone.

See you tonight legends.

2025 taught me a lot. I learnt to love myself. I allowed myself to cry, dance, be free. I opened my mind to change and realised just because it's all in your head it doesn't mean you have to stay silent.

Thank you to all my amazing friends, Here's to many more drinks, white monsters, and laughter.

2026 will be the year we thrive in.

Hi!!!! Let me reintroduce myself.

My name is Monster Machine, and I’m a producer and DJ from Sydney.

My journey with music started 4 years ago on a set of DDJ-400s. I wouldn’t have believed anyone if they told me at that time, that I would find myself releasing music, let alone dropping a 4 track EP. But here we are 🤷🏻‍♀️

“Exalted” is the final track of this release, and I couldn’t be more excited showing this to the world, because I got to make this with my best friend @arkywaters.

As you may already know, our sounds couldn’t be more different - Arky’s music is ethereal, uplifting, complex. Monster Machine sits on the complete other side of the spectrum, dark, gritty, gothic.

“Exalted” is the synergy between our sounds, far more restrained, yet more sophisticated than anything I could have made on my own.

It’s yours to listen to now, and I hope you love it as much as we do.

This is just the beginning, I promise you’ll see more of me soon.

Just absolutely WOW!!!
The Sydney bass community showed up in their hundreds to support SHMEERE FEST ft. VIRTUAL RIOT + MUZZ + MANY MORE last Friday and it was an insane night.

🖤 THANK YOU for partying with us across 3 stages of pumping bass… dancefloors were packed from open to close and it means so much to us that you guys support the local legends as well as the massive international superstars.
