Some thoughts since last month: honestly I didn’t really feel like celebrating my birthday. Life’s crazy, as it should, and with all that was kinda losing my mind. My birthday this year fell on a Tuesday too, wasn’t able to do much. But then I got flooded with birthday wishes from friends I haven’t heard from in ages-fyi thank you! 🫶 And received some very thoughtful gifts even until now, a month later haha. Yall are insane. 🤪

Guess I haven’t realized how much I meant to yall. Yall shown me immense kindness, friendship, and support that touched my heart and I can’t thank yall enough for being in my life. Especially to Khristina for telling me to draw more. Yall mean a lot to me. 🩵 In July I just celebrated throughout the latter half with Warped Tour, Aquabats, MCR, Better Lovers, movies, food, and more recently Devo! I got to celebrate with a lot of my favorite people and music, which is all I could ask for. 🩵

Got to see an early screening of Fixed and met @genndytartakovsky and @adamdevine It was a blast to see the movie in a theater and it was great to ask him a question. Go see the film! It's pretty ballin' 😏

Last November, I had the opportunity to see a talk that Nick Park and Merlin Crossingham gave for Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl! It was just smashing as they say. They gave a wonderful demonstration on how they make their stop motion pictures. Original Pictures taken November 3rd, 2024.

This weekend was the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books! Astrid, Anna, Christina, and I hit it up. I went to a comedy writing talk that showed Carol Liefer (Sienfeld, Hacks writer), Jim O' Hier (Jerry from Parks and Rec), Bruce Vilanch (Oscar's, Don't Mess with the Zohan), and Bruce Eric Kaplan (Seinfeld, New Yorker Cartoonist), followed by an inspiring talk by David M. Chu (director of Wicked and In the Heights). Lastly, there was a talk on travel, but for some reason, Gary Janetti (Family Guy and Will and Grace writer was there! What a cool event!

I had the awesome opportunity to see Office Space at Vidiots! Ron Livingston, Gary Cole, and David Herman stopped by to talk about their experience working on the film. They were nice enough to let me get a picture with them! Will, Conner and I had a blast!

A few weeks ago, I had the chance to check out my first Silver Lakes Shorts screening. It was awesome! Craig Bartlett was there, and it was a pleasure to meet him. (The creator of Hey Arnold!) They even played his stop motion short, made a Will Vinton Studios, and Helga's Parrot. The screening showed a lot of Indie and student films that were incredible. I definitely recommend checking them out! - The event was originally on April 11, 2025
