Technically, I'm not even really supposed to be here right now.. so I might as well make the most of it

KC Garmin: HM #2 || 4Min PR || 52/4387 runners || Chip Time 1:25:13 ||

I had a goal to come out and run my planned #dallasbmwmarathon pace to validate my training efforts have me right on track. Anything between 1:20-1:25 would have satisfied that.

Am I satisfied with my race results? The answer is undoubtedly yes. Especially given the difficulty of this course & the fact that this race was in the middle of a marathon training block with no taper.

Admittedly, Mile 9 & 10 exposed some weakness’ so the next 6 weeks will have some intense sessions to clean up those flaws as I chase a Boston qualifying time in my first marathon down in Dallas.

Despite health complications suggesting this goal is incredibly improbable & potentially dangerous.. there are no ceilings & I will continue to test those limits every chance I get so as long as I’m cleared to do so.

Weeks 5-6 || 47 total Miles

Hit a mile PR of 5:44 in this two week stretch. Ran my first HM since April, and I signed up for the KC garmin half. S/O @816runclub & @kansasrunclub for the routes and good company

The foot has had its moments but she is holding up for now. Week 7 will be full of easy miles as i had a few to many tempo/threshold runs this week (glutes and hammies aren’t happy).

10 months ago I arrived in the US, I was scared and excited for the future and now I stand here, 10 months later like a new man.
