UCL has again been ranked among the top 10 universities in the world according to the 2023 QS World University Rankings. I am super grateful to have worked through the darkest time of my life to complete a Master’s Degree with honours from UCL. I must say thanks to God and family: biological plus the ones created by association and the exchange of kind deeds. My #1 aim in pursuing goals like mastering this Masters programme is to equip myself to be of greater service to humanity.

Uncover – Real life is circuitous; I have learnt that it’s not cliché when they say some of the most valuable lessons are in the bumps and bends. I fell into some emotional ditches, questioned my academic prowess and was challenged to unlock a version of me that would produce the power to overcome each hurdle. My muscles have been strengthen for missions that will require potency and firmness of mind.

Choose - The quality of our life is to an extent based on the series of choices we make. There are some things we cannot change and then there are some we have the choice to change. I have learnt to get help to unravel the complexities to create solutions for myself and the people around me. We can either accept what is going on around us or choose to make a difference. I have struggled to learn to make choices that are within my power and I am still on the Potter’s Wheel. Cynicism often gets justified by naming itself reality. When our ‘choice muscle’ gets weak, we say, “well, it’s my reality” even in situations that we have the power to change. Real transformations happens through choice; it cannot be coerced or mandated.

Liberate – As I live and learn, I am liberated to be all I can potentially be.

In all your pursuits to transform your small spaces; never forget that the quality of the intervention is largely affected by the nature intervener.
