@NickPaul21 cleared waivers three times before the NHL made room for him. Then Tampa signed him for seven years.

More than 200 games in the minors. Passed over, sent down, and told — three separate times — that he wasn't quite there. Most careers end in that stretch. Nick's didn't, and the perseverance that carried him to a fixture role with the Tampa Bay Lightning is exactly the quality we wanted on our Advisory Board.

An athlete's financial life demands the same trait: the discipline to keep building through the years when nothing is guaranteed. Nick knows that road because he lived it — and as a current player, he speaks to the guys who are on it right now.
