Nothing better to kick off October than a little “Spooky Groove” with an old-school ’80s OC2.🍁🍷

A little while back @scherooooo came by for a visit and we recorded some clips that might be interesting. Starting with this "same guitar / different pickups".

My buddy Nikos @nicksilverpickups made and sent me these beautiful charlie christian pickups in humbucker format. They arrived at the same time as Schero so it was obvious what is to be done.

The guitar is a Mod2 Semihollow with @halon_guitarparts bridge and vibrato. Loaded with a wonderful set of @bareknucklepickupsofficial Mules.

Enjoy

Here's some Hendrix with the new @jampedals Wahcko mk2

The Wahcko has been my favourite wah pedal for a few years now and the mk2 has not disappointed.

With the mk2 you still have the option to select which frequency sweep you want with the dial on the side but there's now an additional Q trimmer to fine tune the wah response on the inside there's also new internal dip switches to allow you to configure it for bass.

Also with the mk 2 you get a cool rubber foot pad instead of the clear plastic on the mk1

A massive thanks to Jam for sending this out to me to make some videos with.

For this I was running my @a.lowe.guitars S Type into the Wahcko into the @victoryampsuk The Deputy 100 with some Delay in post

Yesterday we took a long awaited trip to Chaniá with @tonfuchs_guitars one and only Uwe!

The plan was to meet the man behind @puretoneamps Michalis and try out his little -big- boxes of wonder! Something I wanted to do for a while!

We spent the day the three of us, nerding out about amps, guitars, politics and food!

What a fine day we had ✌️🎉

And the amps? Well the amps speak volumes (pun intended) for them selfs! Amazing articulation, dynamic response, sustain, versatility, portability!

All in all anything and everything an electric guitarist might want from the second half of his instrument! I was truly blown away ❤️

As always, I brought with me my trusted TonFuchs Lovecaster which needles to say was a perfect match with Michalis amps!

I just finished this beauty of a Pitpit bass, and it’s a special one for two reasons.

First: it’s the first 32“ medium scale Pitpit I’ve ever built. The 3+1 headstock is borrowed from the shape of the Pitpit Five. Now that I’m holding it and playing it, I’m wondering why I didn’t build one earlier. The sound and feel are just phenomenal. It’s loaded with an amazing sounding set of @nicksilverpickups Mr Iggy humbuckers.

Second: it’s the second to last custom instrument built in the On Guitars workshop. Yes, that’s true. At the end of the year I’ll close the doors on my business as a guitar builder. I’ll make a dedicated post soon so you can learn more about what led to that decision. For now I’m still putting all my love and energy into my instruments, and I think this bass is the perfect example of that.

One more to go, and it will be colorful, fresh and a Pitpit. Exactly what you expect an On Guitars instrument to be.

One of the most rewarding parts of building pickups is hearing them become part of someone else’s music.

Exactly one year ago, we started designing the signature pickup for my very good friend @rodneygenejunior . It’s a very special moment for me to finally hear it coming through his hands.
Rodney, thank you so much for your trust from day one and for your support since the very first time we met.

In this recording, RG is playing his @grezguitars Grand Tour equipped with his signature Nick Silver Pickups - Silver 77 pickups, a custom set we designed together specifically for his sound.
Every note tells a story. Thank you Rodney!

Full video link in bio.
More information about the signature “Silver 77” model coming soon.
