The 2024 Melbourne Workshop Season of @onedayinsept 🏉 🎶
One of the most unexpected and memorable experiences to come out of this year😻
When @mackenzieannedunn asked me to be a part of their baby earlier this year I was honoured - this new Aussie work is INSANELY good. But then to also meet some of the most special souls working on this project- WOW!! People who I hope with all my might that I get to work with again down the track. I think I said on the daily ‘where have you been all my life?!’ to this band of extremely talented performers and creatives.
This was truly a case of ‘lightning in a bottle’⚡️
So grateful to be a part of the ODIS alumni- if you were lucky enough to see this workshop I think you’ll be a part of history. 🥳🤩
Thank you, thank you, thank you @la.maverique @kohanvansambeeck for creating such a joyous, heartfelt piece that is exactly what Australia needs!! ❤️❤️❤️

Farewell Baker’s Wife, I have loved pioneering through the Woods in your pants, beret & kneepads, and in such extraordinarily talented & unique onstage company.

I have waited a lifetime for the opportunity to represent as a diverse Sondheim heroine, but this goes way beyond mere colour. The truth is most of us would never have been cast in a more traditional or commercial version of Into The Woods. As well as 3 WOCs in central roles, we had a gentler more introverted Baker, a Rapunzel with delicious womanly curves, a pint-size Red still with enormous appetite, a Jack’s Mother both warm & ferocious, and a gender-fluid Step-Sibling to name a few!

Thank you @watchthis_inc #SonyaSuares @deanjdrieberg @hillmanmel for allowing the hero in all of us to be seen.
