What a great night! I finally showcased all my beautiful pieces of the 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐦 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 @hawaiifashion 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 @inspirationhawaiimuseum Working full time and creating these outfits at night has been such a humbling experience. Through it all, my wonderful husband has been my rock, holding down the fort at home by making delicious dinners and tackling all the chores, especially cleaning up my threads and fabric scraps. There were definitely moments of pulling my hair out, especially since I’m self-taught, learning to sew from YouTube videos! It feels surreal that we pulled it off, especially with that last-minute power outage on Friday. But, the show had to go on, so I was hunchbacked over a small table backstage that morning, finishing the last pieces.

Amidst all this chaos, I’m so grateful for our amazing community, team members, and friends who lent a helping hand. Thank you for adding those small details that made a huge difference on the runway, like the glittering sequins, flowers, and gemstone embellishments. A special thanks to @ailina_crochet_maui, an incredibly talented designer, to Cindy’s mom Eva @omoda_beauty, whose daughter was part of my entourage, to @bypurelyrose, my new assistant, and even to my models like @nickstarrstarr, who steamed all our beautiful dresses, and @alexandriabogatay, for adding those beautiful flowers. I couldn’t have done it without your help; we wouldn’t have made it to the runway on time! And to the amazing team of @miguellcundayag, @irenee_of_lordship, @rleewashington, & @robertarusso_14 (Congratulations again Beautiful couple! 🎉🍾🥂💕✨, you guys did it again—an incredible show! Your powerhouse team members, like @clarspics, @sunisxju, and @ellies.sunny.daze, are the most hardworking people.

Of course! Let’s not forget… Thanks to the photographer and their awesome team for capturing these lasting memories!

Most of all, thanks be to God for this opportunity, for giving me strength and wisdom through it all. My Holy Spirit is so strong, giving me ideas for outfits I can put together! Until the next fashion show, I love you all!

What an unforgettable night! GRACE premiered at HIFF in two sold-out theatres, alongside an incredible lineup of Pacific Island shorts.

Mahalo to our cast, crew, and community for bringing this story to life — and for holding space for queerness, aloha, and sovereignty here in Hawai‘i. 🌈

Couldn’t make it? There’s an encore screening this Friday, Oct 24 at 7:15pm at Consolidated Theatres Kahala! 🍿

Mahalo nui @picpacific for supporting @gracehawaiifilm 🙏🌈

Mahalo nui to the South Pacific Film Festival of New Zealand for honoring our film with the “Best Indigenous Nations” Award 🏆

“Grace is a beautifully crafted and emotionally resonant film that intertwines personal identity with political history in a powerful, intimate setting. The performances are nuanced, and the restrained tension at the dinner table is masterfully directed. The film’s visual tone, period detail, and cultural authenticity all contribute to its immersive impact. As a tribute to both queer love and Hawaiian resistance, Grace is both tender and quietly defiant. It’s a vital piece that offers visibility to historically silenced voices with grace, strength, and purpose. A deeply moving and timely work.” -South Pacific Film Festival Judge

To know our film and these themes resonate with people across the world means EVERYTHING to this team 🌎🙏❤️

New Zealand friends: The award ceremony and screening will take place at the Bridgeway Cinema in Auckland on 7th October 2025.

We could not have made this film without the support of Pacific Islanders in Communications @picpacific 🙏

Lesson learned—take more BTS photos on set!! 😭 We wanted to take this opportunity to highlight and acknowledge more members of our team that, unfortunately, were not (or minimally) caught on camera during production. However, their contributions and dedication to “How Do You Feel?” were so enormous we can’t ignore what they’ve brought to the set!

@kayceekaleo and @jhmproductions created the beautiful atmosphere of our sets, redecorating locations to fit the tone we were going for to truly immerse our actors in their characters’ world. We lucked out having these incredible professionals on our team! We’re so grateful to you both for the hard work you dedicated to make the vision come to life!

@abbysadoy has been so extremely integral to the team as Associate Producer. She had one of the most important jobs—keeping everyone fed!! Her professionalism in reaching out to donors and providing much-needed backup to our production team has been invaluable. She even dedicated time after production to thank our donors in person, just showing her heart for building lasting and meaningful connections with our community!

We also want to highlight all our incredible Production Assistants:
- Sam Adams @samrossadams
- Matthew Naki @cine.matt_
- Cayson Kiyabu @anakinfun1
- Soraya-Elena Perez @sorayaelenaperez
- Nickoma Ing @nickstarrstarr
- and my dad 🫶

Without you all, this film wouldn’t be possible! Your willingness to serve no matter how big or small the job reveals the wonderfully big hearts you possess! I’m still astounded by this amazing team, and I’m eternally grateful to you all 🥹
