POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

coming Wednesday 19.10 we can finally reveal our new 𝑾𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏 𝑾𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝑰𝑰 show at @theatercarre (link in bio)! We have been working incredibly hard with an amazing group of artists, and I can't wait to share it with you all 💫

Besides multiple new audiovisual installations, choreographers @sedrigverwoert & @grrreina created an accompanying modern dance piece within the theme of 'transformation', with beautiful dancers @alanna.archibald_ @comfortzones1 @winterwieringa @adamrj300

@wanderwelle & @marijn.cinjee created an almost an hour of electroacoustic music and sound design specifically written for this show, and @jasminesface & @pitouou composed a beautiful vocal piece.

@wes_broersen helped me create several new light pieces, using lasers, projection and multiple custom build fixtures moving kinetically throughout the space.

Some next level engineering went into developing all the techniques for this show in collaboration with @jdtengineering @daniel_de_bruin .

Also special thanks to our expert producers who are running this wild project @wout.panis @wiwo.studio @kristinwichstrom @popkraft1.0 @rjzuur

thank you all for believing in me and working together as a harmonious entity ❤️

Final rehearsals for our piece for the National Ballet. For @sedrigverwoert his concept/choreo 'Do All Dogs Go To Heaven?' I created 6 floating mirrors which animate in 3D space, revealing different perspectives the dancers on stage. We also made a special finale which you should see for yourself :)

The music was composed by Julius Eastman, a highly underrated black queer artist who's minimal music pieces IMHO are to be regarded alongside to Reich, Riley and Glass. Additional sound design and spatial mix by @sssalvadorrr and beautiful costumes are designed by @barthess

Because the lockdown ended just in time there are some tickets available again (link in bio)!

This was our first experimental covid baby, made over a year ago together with @sssalvadorrr en @nickverstand: ‘Oblique Time’ - an audiovisual installation to be performed for small groups of audiences.
The project started with the idea that due to lockdowns we felt like losing the grip on time, a feeling I thought would be temporary, but realising today that it has become the new reality…🖤⏱✨😵‍💫

Filmed by @blitzkickers from a video made for @amsterdamdanceevent 2020
