Nick’s turn! This was one of the most laid-back sessions I’ve ever had. That was no surprise; Nick is easygoing, genuine, and gracious. There is something about getting these guys out in nature that makes everything click, too. Nick, you are just as much a gentleman as you are fierce competitor. I can’t wait to see how your Senior baseball season goes and how the Lord directs your path next year!

🧡🖤 OSU vs UCF game day! 🧡🖤
Huge thanks to Kaydence’s family for the incredible tailgate and seats — the view was perfect and the game was even better.
Bonus: we spotted the kids in the student section!
🏈 Way to go, Pokes… what a win! 🏈

Happy birthday NICK. You only turn 18 once, so let THE FUN continue. 🎉🎂

Kaydence kicked off the evening celebration with a surprise visit, and from there it was all smiles as we gathered for his birthday dinner.

Steaks. Seafood. Delicious everything.

Then home for the carrot cake. 🥕🎂
Accompanied by an unforgettable rendition of Happy Birthday from a motley family chorus featuring altos, sopranos, baritones, and one voice occupying a musical category yet to be officially recognized.

Nick endured the serenade like a champ. 😂

Then came the gifts — golf accessories, tekkie stuff, and the promise of a shopping adventure because at 18, sometimes you like to choose your own present.

Happy 18th, Nick! We love you hook, line and sinker — and yes, that shopping adventure may still involve either fishing or golf. ❤️

🎉Happy 18th Birthday, @nickycheij.99!🎉
We can perfectly encapsulate how we see you in this one picture. EIGHTEEN years of watching you grow from a little boy into a strong, kind, and determined young man… and now here we are. Your senior year and officially becoming an adult. This year is no different than others with more—the late-night study sessions, the games, the laughs with your friends, the quiet moments of pride when we see how hard you’re working and the way you carry yourself with maturity and heart.
You’ve made these 18 years unforgettable and we look for many more🤪. Your quiet confidence and humble spirit, how you push through challenges with grace, celebrating the wins, and staying true to yourself has filled us with so much joy. The “senior post” moments we are sharing—every photo, every update, every proud parent moment—are just little snapshots of where you started to the amazing person you’ve become.
Today you officially become an adult, but you’ll always be our little monkey. Dad and I are so proud of the man standing in front of us. Keep that same love of Jesus, that same drive, that same kindness, and that same spark. The best chapters are still ahead, and we can’t wait to watch you write them.
Happy 18th, Nick.
We love you more than words can say.
Here’s to you.🎉💙

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NICK!
🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

Somehow it’s hard to fathom you are our youngest grandchild—and a senior in High School. Yet here you are, towering over your mom and grandma. Age 18 today, you stand before us a fully grown, handsome, God-loving young man with a kind heart, a big smile, and a bright future ahead. Oh but the fun times and adventures we’ve shared over the years. Looking forward to many more.

Grandad & I love you and are proud of you always. You bring us great joy. Excited to celebrate your “milestone” birthday today. Cheers to many more healthy, happy birthdays. 🩷🤩🥳🤗

the Lord has been teaching me a lot recently about him and about me. ive always struggled with what im going to do next but the past year ive felt so much more confident in God’s provision through whatever he calls me too. he has brought me so many people who have taught me and showed me through their actions that God is with me with wherever he wants me to be. this last year the Lord helped me with a lot of struggle mental and physical health struggles that feels like will never end. its given me a bigger yearn for heaven that one day all of the sickness and evil will be over and we just get to be with Jesus. i know God got me through it all.
