Can’t put these guys in a box 📦

A little behind-the-scenes look at our men’s team from Media Day. Part of our #standard is that we’ve got plenty of personality, questionable humor, and just enough talent to back it all up.

🥇 RELIVING A CHAMPIONSHIP MOMENT. 🥇

Four swimmers. One relay. One unforgettable race.

The Men’s 800 Freestyle Relay delivered one of the biggest moments of ODAC’s week at the TYR Futures Championships. From the opening start, through every transition, to the final touch—it was a complete team effort.

🏊 Zachary McNabb
🏊 Nicky Stratton
🏊 Nick Dees
🏊 Karter Wachs

They stopped the clock at an incredible 7:44.36, earning the title of TYR Futures Champions and stepping onto the top of the podium to receive their gold medals. 🥇

But this race meant even more.
That 7:44.36 also shattered the ODAC Men’s Open 800 Meter Freestyle Relay record, breaking the previous 7:46.26 mark set at Futures in 2022.

Futures Champions. Gold Medalists. ODAC Record Holders. 💙💛

This is one we’ll be replaying for a long time.

🚨 TEAM RECORD ALERT! 🚨

History continued to be made tonight all the way down to the last heat of Day 2 at the TYR Futures Championships!

The ODAC Men’s 800 Meter Freestyle Relay shattered the club’s Open Long Course Team Record, stopping the clock in an incredible 7:44.36! The record-breaking relay was comprised of:
🏊 Zachary McNabb
🏊 Nicky Stratton
🏊 Nick Dees
🏊 Karter Wachs

Swimming in that order, the quartet not only captured the TYR Futures Championship title, but also eclipsed the previous team record of 7:46.26, set in 2022 by Ben Mauldin, Blake Johnson, Jay Gerloff, and Tyler Kaminski—also at the TYR Futures Championships.

There’s something special about one generation of ODAC swimmers inspiring the next. Four years after an outstanding relay set the standard, another group rose to the occasion on the very same stage to write the next chapter in ODAC history.

Congratulations to Zach, Nicky, Nick, and Karter on an unforgettable performance. Your teamwork, trust in one another, and relentless pursuit of excellence have earned you a place in the ODAC record books!

💙💛 Champions. Team Record Holders. ODAC History.
