2026 Euro Trip Part 2: EKC RIDE 🚌 I signed up for the 3-day, 2-night EKC RIDE from Montpellier, France to Utrecht, Netherlands without knowing a single friend. To be honest, I was a bit worried about whether I’d fit in with all the kendama pros (mostly because I knew I’d easily be the worst player there 🤣). But after the first day at FISE, I realized I had absolutely nothing to worry about. Everyone was incredibly nice! Jannik, a guy from Germany, was the first to come over and chat, and he hung out to play kendama with me. Then there was Miguel—the "Squirrel Man"—who is literally a star kendama player, yet he went out of his way to follow me on Instagram! I met so many wonderful people at the villa: Jeremy, Nico, Alphonse, Farid, Lenny, Ferri... Everyone pitched in and worked together seamlessly—some went grocery shopping, some cooked, others did the dishes. The vibe was so harmonious. It honestly reminded me all over again how pure and down-to-earth this community is. I also crossed paths with a lot of brand founders, which opened my eyes to how passion can manifest in so many different ways. You can deeply love this sport without being the most skilled at it. Maybe your way of expressing that love is just different. Perhaps you express it through photography or videos. Or maybe you love sharing the culture by designing products or teaching newcomers. Because everyone is unique, what you see will always be different from what I see. So just go out there and do what feels right and what you love! That’s exactly how a culture becomes richer and more multi-dimensional. Thank you, everyone, and thank you, myself. - #kendama #ekc #劍玉 #剣玉 ekdride
