2025 so far, general mood: sometimes scared, always anti-fascist. Our neighbor, who also happened to have the Straight Pride (sad) flag on the balcony, was playing L’amour Toujours really loud and it scared me. Together with my lovely colleagues and our students we managed to put together the @aseatatthetable.exhibition . Next to the thoughtful projects, which grew in collaboration with local initiatives, the togetherness, conversations, and the campfire reminded me that it is meaningful to teach and to learn from each other. I also spent lot of time with people I love, was on a flat search (plot twist: not anymore), I might become German one day, there was snow, blood orange sunsets, I managed to get out of town, and I finally started reading Ocean Vuong. Stay strong and join forces💕

TW: Mobbing, Gewalt

Thanks for the good times Mexico, as well as everybody who I met, rode with, who helped me, who looked after me, gave me a place to stay or appreciated the company of a new friend. You are too many to tag! 4 weeks quickly turned into 2 months exploring this beauty of a country, I will miss it very much. Mexico, I’ll be back.

Part 3 of my expedition begins now: Central America! They say it gets pretty dangerous from here on in, but they say that wherever you go it seems. I have no idea where I’m going but let’s see what you’ve got in store for me Belize!
