After the darkest days, a little sunshine found its way into our lives. ☀️🤍

Losing our beloved Maximus left a silence in our home and a space in our hearts that will never be filled.

And then came Juni… 🤎🐾

A tiny little soul with so much love to give, bringing smiles, laughter and warmth back into our home.

Not a replacement, but a new chapter. Because love doesn’t end when we say goodbye. It simply makes room to grow again.

Forever Maximus. Welcome home, little Juni. 🤍♾️

His final days were spent exactly where he wanted to be, on the deck beneath the magnolia tree, his favorite place in the world.🥹

We stayed there together.
We loved him. We laughed with him.
We cried with him. We held him close.
And yes, we howled together too. 🤍

We tried to fill those last days with all the things that had always mattered most to him being close, being together, simply being his family.♥️

And yesterday, beneath his magnolia tree, surrounded by the people he loved, Maximus fell asleep peacefully in his favorite place.

At home. With his family. Under his tree.
Loved until his very last breath.

To everyone who prayed for Maximus, sent us love, left a message, or simply kept him in your thoughts — thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.💔❤️‍🩹

We have read your beautiful words, and they have meant more to us than you could ever know during these incredibly difficult days.

He was so deeply loved, not only by us, but by so many of you too. 🤍

You were never just our dog, Maximus.
You were part of us.

And somehow, I think we’ll always hear your howl in ours.

Our beautiful Maximus. Our best friend. Our family. ❤️

We know our time with you may be coming to an end. Stage 5 lymphoma is taking its toll, and although we are doing everything we can to give you strength, comfort and more good days, right now things don’t look good.

The thought of losing you is unbearable.

But if I knew from the very beginning that loving you would one day hurt this much, I would still choose you. Every single time.

I would choose every walk, every look, every ridiculous moment, every cuddle. Your smell. The sound of your paws. The way you look at us. The feeling of having you beside me. All those tiny things that somehow became some of the biggest memories of my life.

Dogs are with us for such a painfully short time, but the love they leave behind lasts forever.

And for the privilege of knowing this kind of love, I would do it all over again,,,even knowing how the story ends.

Please keep our Maximus in your thoughts and prayers. 🙏🏼
We are hoping for a little more time, a little more strength, and as many peaceful moments together as we can possibly have.
