Falls: A Silent Threat to Our Elders

Falls are a serious concern for older adults. The consequences can range from minor injuries to life-threatening complications. To protect your loved ones, consider these essential steps:

Create a safe environment: Remove tripping hazards, ensure adequate lighting, and install safety equipment.

Regular exercise: Strength and balance exercises can significantly reduce fall risk.

Regular check-ups: Consult with a doctor about medications, vision, and overall health.
Emergency preparedness: Know what to do in case of a fall.

If you or a loved one has fallen, it's important to seek professional care. Our expert team can provide comprehensive assessments, develop personalized care plans, and offer in-home support.

Falls can happen to anyone, but they can be especially dangerous for our elderly loved ones.

What to do if you fall:
1. Stay calm and avoid sudden movements.
2. Call for help if you can.
3. If alone, try to reach a phone or a safe place.

For caregivers:
1. Stay calm and assess the situation.
2. Check for injuries but avoid moving the person unless necessary.
3. Call for medical help if needed.

Prevention is key! Our caregiving services and training can help you reduce the risk of falls and provide expert care when it happens.

Our journey to making a bride happy…

Our bride contacted us from US that she wanted to make a dress for her traditional wedding and she needed something unique, we suggested using #akwete for her and we made sure it was hand-loomed specifically for her.

We sent her a sketch and she loved it at first sight, she made little alterations and we were good to go, only that the fabric wasn’t ready yet. The fabric got to us less than a week to her big day, so we had to sew and accessorize in less than a week!!!!

We made sure to deliver to her personally to #owerri in case of eventuality which didn’t even happen.

The outfit was perfect on first fit and our bride was happy!!

The end!!!
