Everyone who knows me knows how much I love DBH. It’s more than a show. It’s comfort during dark times and it brought me the greatest group of people I’ve ever had the honor of calling my friends. Getting to see my favorite show with my favorite people was everything I’d hoped and more! Getting to meet Jenn and Josh was 2 of the greatest moments of my life. It may have closed but it’ll be alive forever 💜 Siempre Viva!

A month ago I was in the city I’ve wanted to go to for quite a while… NEW YORK CITY!!!! It was the most magical experience of my life. To the 3 of my heroes I met while I was there:
Jenn: thank you for being so unbelievably kind to me and everyone at the concert. Thank you for being such an inspiration snd beautiful bright light to so many including myself! And thank you for showing me what true self love and confidence looks like
Patrick: thank you for being so so sweet and putting up with my rambling. Thank you for GGDD and TCO and for showing me it’s ok to be a loud and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community.
My Joshie: thank you so so much for taking the time to chat and take pictures with me and my friend. We are friends for life now! You are so so sweet! Thank you for putting up with my non stop Cameo orders lol.
And finally to my sisters in the HEGB chat: thank you from the bottom of my heart for being so kind and supportive of me and letting me unmask and stim my little autistic heart out all weekend. we are family for life 🩷

I remember Judy....

I remember Judy in the ways I never knew her. In the ways that I wish I had. I remember when I was so scared of The Wicked Witch for Dorothy and her friends, and I remember how Judy and Dorothy were the same. They were courage and strength and light and love, bravery and friendship.

I remember Judy like I remember stepping onto a stage with the white hot light on me, the mic in front of me and faces looking, waiting. I remember her Keychain in my pocket, I remember her like a saint carrying me through a performance.

I remember Judy like I remember love. It was Easter Parade, it was the song "It Only Happens When I Dance With You" and it was what I felt to be so true. It was summer, it was beautiful everyday, I was different.

I remember Judy how I remember hope. I hadn't seen her movies in years. For the first time I watched "For Me and My Gal" and I thought I would simply sob forever if Jo didn't see Harry again.

I remember Judy like I remember friendship. Dorothy touched people's hearts along the way, I thought, Gosh what if I could do that? What if I could make people feel happy? Joy? Love? And I made friends that have been steadfast and true, that have given to my heart the rarest form of warmth that any heart can have.

100 years, I remember Judy. This music box doesn't play, and it might not ever. But I look, and I remember Judy. Joots, Frances, Judy. 🤍
