🎀 OCTOBER IS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH. LET’S TALK FACTS, NOT FACEBOOK DEGREES. 🩺 Nearly 20 years as an RN and Nurse Practitioner, and I STILL can’t believe some of y’all are taking medical advice from people whose only credentials are Wi-Fi, big words, Claude and a ring light. 🙄 Here’s the SCIENCE: 🎀 Age 40+? Get screened, even WITHOUT a family history. 🎀 How often? Every 1–2 years, depending on the medical guidelines and your individual risk. High-risk women may need earlier screening. 🎀 Radiation? A typical mammogram delivers approximately 0.4 mSv, about 1–2 months of natural background radiation. The cancer risk from that exposure is extremely low. By all means use your discretion. 🎀 Do mammograms save lives? YES! Research models estimate approximately 8 breast cancer deaths prevented per 1,000 women screened biennially from ages 40–74 over a lifetime. Now, respectfully, STOP LETTING PEOPLE WITH ZERO MEDICAL TRAINING TALK YOU OUT OF PREVENTIVE HEALTHCARE. A podcast isn’t a medical degree. Followers aren’t credentials. And your ho-tep conspiracy theory isn’t peer-reviewed research. 😒 FIGHT ME Mammograms don’t prevent breast cancer. They help detect it early and reduce your risk of dying from it. Question medicine, ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!😮‍💨 But don’t confuse being LOUD with being QUALIFIED. BOOK THE DAMN MAMMOGRAM. 🎀 With love, credentials, and receipts. Nurse Patti, MSN, AGPCNP-BC 🩺💕 WILL U TAG A WOMAN YOU LOVE AND SPREAD THE WORD #BreastCancerAwareness #EarlyDetectionSavesLives #NursePatti

A VERY SPECIAL SURPRISE! 🔑❤️ We were honored to receive the Keys to the City of Donaldsonville from Mayor Rev. Leroy J. Sullivan, Sr., who surprised our team at today’s Gonzales Free Clinic! For the past two years, we’ve partnered with the City of Donaldsonville to provide 100% FREE medical, dental and vision services to families in need. But Mayor Sullivan’s commitment goes far beyond his title. For his city, he rolled up his sleeves and worked a 12-hour shift alongside our team, lifting tables, greeting constituents, feeding volunteers and even helping with breakdown long after everyone had left. As we continue partnering with cities across Louisiana, we are incredibly grateful for leaders like Mayor Sullivan who don’t just support the mission, but show up and do the work. Thank you, Mayor Sullivan and the City of Donaldsonville, for this incredible honor and two years of partnership! ❤️

Love Impact Coalition produces one-day clinics across Louisiana providing 100% FREE medical, dental and vision services. No ID. No insurance. No pre-registration. No money required. Just get in line and remain patient with our amazing staff, volunteers and healthcare professionals who are ready to serve YOU! Here are a few simple rules to know before you go: 1. Services are 100% FREE, but you must be able to stand or sit in line. All services are first come, first served. 2. Pick the ONE line for the service you need most: dental cleaning, dental extraction, vision or medical. 3. Get there early. We will close each service line once it reaches capacity or becomes full. 4. Getting in line does not guarantee that you will receive services. Certain health conditions or medical risks may prevent our healthcare professionals from safely providing a service. 5. If you are pregnant, you must receive medical clearance before receiving services. 6. Bring a lawn chair, water bottle and sunscreen. 7. Take your daily medications as prescribed. 8. No line skipping or holding spots. 9. Plan to spend the day with us. Wait times vary based on the service you select and the number of patients ahead of you. 10. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest hospital. Our one-day clinics are not emergency-care facilities. Your patience helps our team provide every patient with the quality care they deserve. We can’t wait to serve you! 💙💚
