After the @lorealpro event, I kept thinking about how powerful it felt to be surrounded by entrepreneurs. Hairdressers, content creators, brand builders—we were all there, carving out paths that didn’t exist before us. For years I didn’t even see myself that way. I thought I was just “doing hair.” But creating your own career is entrepreneurship. And it’s not easy. When I ran my salon and later stepped into freelancing, I often felt overwhelmed and questioned if I was cut out for it. What I learned is that struggle isn’t proof you’re failing—it’s part of the journey. Along the way, a few resources helped me when I needed perspective, direction, or simply a reminder to keep going: BOOKS • The E-Myth — taught me how systems can give freedom instead of letting the business run me. • Firestarter Series — a reset for when passion feels dim and creativity needs reviving. • How to Think Like a Breadwinner — approachable advice that helped me make financial decisions with confidence. • Big Magic — a reminder that creativity is meant to be lived with curiosity, not fear. PODCASTS + TALKS • TED Talk: Start With Why – a call to anchor your work in purpose when you lose your way. • TED Talk: Elizabeth Gilbert, Your Elusive Creative Genius — wisdom on nurturing creativity without pressure. • How I Built This — honest stories of resilience and risk from entrepreneurs building from scratch. • The Tim Ferriss Show — practical tools and mindset shifts from people across industries that sparked new ways of thinking. If you’re in a season of doubt, growth, or transition, maybe one of these will meet you where you are. I wish I had known sooner that uncertainty doesn’t mean you’re on the wrong path…it usually means you’re building something new. #lorealpro #entrepreneurship #womenenterpreneur #selfdevelopmenttools #selfdevelopmentquotes #celebrityhairdresser

Spent the last two days at the @LorealProLab surrounded by incredible hairdressers and creatives. I had the honor of sharing the inspiring legacy of @Biolage, sitting on a panel with stylists I admire, and witnessing how our industry gives back to the next generation of hairdressers and content creators. It was also a personal moment of reflection . . remembering the girl in beauty school who just wanted to pay rent, and realizing how far this journey has taken me. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it. The beauty of this industry is that none of us do it alone. Every conversation, every shared technique, every collaboration adds to something bigger than ourselves. Together, we don’t just shape the future of this industry—we expand what’s possible.
