🇵🇸 Palestine Fest is about celebrating Palestinian culture, heritage, identity, and community, and ensuring that Palestinians have the space to tell our own story.

Ahead of the 4th Annual Palestine Fest at SeatGeek Stadium, community leaders and local officials came together to speak about the significance of the festival, the importance of creating a safe and welcoming space for our community, and the celebration of Palestinian culture and traditions.

🎙️ Speakers included:

• Steven Landek, Mayor of Bridgeview

• Dr. Hatem Bazian, Founder & Chairman, American Muslims for Palestine

• Tarek Khalil, Education Coordinator, American Muslims for Palestine

• Salah Sarsour, National Board Member, American Muslims for Palestine

Their message was clear: Palestine Fest is a celebration of who we are, where we come from, and the heritage we proudly pass on to the next generation.

AMP's Chicago Chapter delivered a joint letter to United Airlines' Leadership at their offices in Downtown Chicago.

AMP and its coalition partners, @cair_national, @afsc_org, @anewpolicy, @codepinkalert, @dawnmenaorg, @icnaofficial, @muslimamericansociety, @muslimsforprogress, @main.uscmo, @young_muslims, @libyanamerican, @ajpaction, and United Methodists in Action for Palestine, issued a joint letter to United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby, President Brett Hart, the company’s Board of Directors, and its Office of Ethics and Compliance, demanding that @United Airlines immediately end its transportation of weapons and military equipment to Israel aboard civilian passenger flights.
