Narrow Head at Satellite Bar — August 8, 2016

#OTD: On this day 10 years ago, Narrow Head played the record release show for Satisfaction. The show took place at the now-defunct Satellite Bar in Houston.

I believe this was Ryan Hughes' final show with the band before his departure, although he returned for a few shows during the Quicksand tour in 2021. The band remained a three-piece for the rest of 2016 before Will Menjivar joined as bassist.

Interestingly, the lineup also included Garden of Mary, Ryan's later project. They're definitely worth checking out if you're into post-punk and gothic rock.

Unfortunately, someone uploaded three full songs from this set years ago, but the video have been deleted from YouTube.

Photos:
- 1st photo: Screenshot of the band's Facebook post sharing the last three songs performed that night. Unfortunately, the video is no longer available.

- 2nd photo: Screenshot of the video's thumbnail.

- 3rd photo: Photo shared by the band on Twitter.

- 4th photo: Screenshot of the original Facebook event page.

- 5th photo: Original show flyer.

Narrow Head at KVRX – March 18, 2016

Notes:
- This photo was posted by the band on Twitter on March 18, 2016.

- This was Narrow Head's second appearance in KVRX 91.7 FM's Local Live series.

- The session was never released, and what happened to the recording remains unknown.

P.S. For all the gear nerds (or anyone interested in pedals), you can get a pretty clear look at both Ryan's and Jacob's pedalboards.
