I am completely stripped of me...but filled of joy from the support of family, friends old and new and most importantly, the partnership of @hopeheals and the families of the Hope Heals Summer Camp. I started yesterday with a very concise plan because that’s what I do. I plan every detail of everything...and within 10 minutes, my plan was done. The rain got stronger, the mud thicker and deeper, temperatures got colder and visibility was going away. My first moment of doubt was here and I only had 99 miles to go. As the weather got worse, yes worse, I knew God was making me let Him guide my steps. By the time mile 25 came, the new plan was just to run. I don’t know where but just run. As you think of Forest Gump, remember that I just had my Lt Dan moment. I finally released myself to be in the moment and realized why I was doing what I was doing. Friends joined in the pacing part as the dark set in, friends took over crewing through the night. We laughed, I cried but we bonded over all of the incredible videos and stories that were shared as we hit our car stocked with fuel and hydration. There were highs and there were lows..that’s normal in this length of event they say. I felt every emotion to the point that when I was finished, I had nothing. I couldn’t speak, I didn’t have the words to say, I couldn’t eat...I just went in the other room and prayed and wept. The journey was complete and God used me in the way that he wanted to use me. I am now full of gratitude to the families that supported me and to all of you for your well wishes. #hopeheals100
