WE GON BE ALRIGHT 🎙️ - A poem I wrote one night after a family gathering last week. This poem was inspired by the events that have taken place within the past three weeks.. one of our babies of the family, gained his wings on March 6th. Sadly, events like this aren’t new to us.. My cousin is surrounded by love, my sister, grandparents and our ancestors and for that reason I know.. He is alright. He is no longer in pain and able to play freely. The women in my family are strong and when we don’t want to be, there’s another women in my family that holds her up. I love my mom, grandmother, aunties and family with every breath of me, so this is for them. ❤️🙌🏾 We Gon Be Alright - Mari G. Rest in love Jamar Glenn Jr. Maira G, Tyla Spice and more 💋 Thank you to @allbetsonus @cpaigespeaks @welovecampfire for holding space! #wegonbealright #poems #wordsmith #wordrhymes #poetry #poeticsoul #writetoexpress #expresstofreeyourmind #familyaffairs
