Treatment is exhausting enough.

Getting to one more appointment shouldn’t be what stands between a cancer patient and the nutrition support they need.

That’s why Pure Balance is telehealth-first, so patients can meet with a Board Certified Oncology Nutrition Specialist from home, on their schedule, around everything else treatment demands.

Consistent. Specialized. One less thing to figure out.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 🩷

And while the conversation around breast cancer is louder this month than any other, one aspect of care that rarely gets the attention it deserves is nutrition.

Research shows that 50 to 96 percent of women with breast cancer experience weight gain during treatment — a statistic that surprises most people. Treatment side effects including nausea, appetite changes, and fatigue significantly impact what patients are able to eat and how their bodies respond to food. Malnutrition affects 40 to 80 percent of cancer patients during treatment, impacting treatment tolerance, quality of life, and outcomes.

Malnutrition and loss of skeletal muscle mass are common in breast cancer patients and represent negative prognostic factors. Yet the majority of patients navigating breast cancer treatment never receive structured nutritional support from a specialist.

This is the gap Pure Balance Cancer Support was built to close.

Our Board Certified Specialists in Oncology Nutrition work with breast cancer patients during active treatment and through survivorship — providing personalized, evidence-based nutritional support delivered entirely via telehealth. The same dedicated clinician. The same continuity of care. From wherever you are.

If you or someone you love is navigating breast cancer treatment and has not yet connected with an oncology nutrition specialist — we are here.

When I was 16, I was diagnosed with leukemia.

Almost overnight, life changed. I spent nearly two years going through treatment, including chemotherapy, radiation, and a bone marrow transplant.

At the time, I had no idea how much that experience would shape the person I would become.

During treatment, I had to figure out a lot of things about nutrition on my own. My appetite changed, my taste changed, and some days eating felt like work. Looking back, I wish I’d had someone who understood both cancer and nutrition to help guide me.

Years later, that experience led me to study nutrition and cancer metabolism as a PhD researcher and eventually co-found Pure Balance Cancer Support with my business partner, @nikignjatovic .

We’re building a telehealth oncology nutrition practice that connects people living with cancer with specialized dietitians who can help them navigate nutrition throughout treatment and beyond.

This work is deeply personal to me. I know how overwhelming cancer can be, and I want to help make sure people don’t have to figure out nutrition on their own.

Cancer has given me some of the hardest experiences of my life, but it has also shaped my perspective and led me to work that means so much to me.

So, in a way, thank you, cancer. Thank you for the purpose I found afterward and the opportunity to help others going through something similar. ❤️

If you or someone you love could use nutrition support during cancer treatment, check out @purebalancecancersupport or visit www.purebalancecancer.com.

And if you have any questions, feel free to reach out. I’m always happy to help. ❤️

Most cancer patients don’t know outpatient nutrition support exists.

Here’s what it actually looks like.

You get connected with a dietitian who specializes exclusively in oncology nutrition. You meet virtually — from home, from a treatment center, wherever works for you. You talk about what you are going through, what you are struggling to eat, how treatment is affecting your body. And then you get a plan built around you — not a generic handout, not a food pyramid. You.

You meet with the same dietitian throughout your entire program. No starting over. No explaining your story to someone new every time.

That is what outpatient oncology nutrition support looks like when it is done right.

If you or someone you love is navigating cancer treatment, we would love to be part of your care team.

THE FUNDAMENTALS HAVEN’T CHANGED.💯

Every few years, there’s a new diet, drug, peptide, supplement, or “shortcut” promising to revolutionize weight loss.

But here’s the truth from a health & fitness coach:

The basics have always worked. ✅
For fat loss, you need a calorie deficit. ✅
For muscle growth, you need resistance training, enough protein, and consistency. ✅

For better health, you need to move, eat well, sleep, recover, and build sustainable habits.

Yes, medications and peptides can be valuable tools for some people, especially when they help manage appetite or food noise.

But they don’t change the fundamentals.

The tools change.
The trends change.
The fundamentals don’t.🤷🏽‍♂️

Stop chasing the next shortcut.
Master the basics. Stay consistent. Get results.

If there’s one thing we wish more people knew when starting their fitness journey, it’s this:

You don’t have to change everything at once. 🤍

You don’t need the perfect diet.
You don’t need to work out 6 days a week.
You don’t need to give up the foods you love.
And you definitely don’t need to start over every Monday.

You need a plan that fits your life—and the patience to let small, consistent changes add up.

Because the goal was never to be “perfect.”

The goal is to build habits that you can actually maintain when life gets busy, stressful, messy, and everything doesn’t go according to plan.

That’s what Unfinished Lifestyle is all about.

No quick fixes. No fad diets. No one-size-fits-all approach.

Just personalized nutrition, training, and coaching designed around you and your life.

It’s not a diet. It’s a lifestyle. 💪🏼

Ready to stop starting over? Send us a DM and let’s talk about what your plan could look like.

Six years ago, we started Unfinished Lifestyle with a vision to help people become better, stronger, healthier versions of themselves—and what a journey it has been. 🤍

This month, we’re celebrating 6 years in business, and more than anything, we’re celebrating the people who have made those six years possible.

To every client who has trusted us with a piece of their journey—past and present, thank you. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your goals, your challenges, your wins, and everything in between. 🫶🏼

We are incredibly grateful for the amazing team we have built and the people who continue to pour into Unfinished Lifestyle every day.

And to everyone who has supported us along the way—whether you’ve trained with us, shared our posts, referred a friend, encouraged our team, or simply cheered us on from the sidelines—thank you. Your support means more than you know.

Six years in, and we’re still learning, growing, and helping people become a better version of themselves.

Because the goal was never perfection.

It’s always been progress.

Here’s to 6 years of Unfinished Lifestyle—and to everything still ahead. 🥂

Thank you for being part of our story. 🤍

🏋️The Importance of Rest & Recovery. @unfinishedlifestyle

Rest and recovery are just as important as the workout itself.

When we lift weights, we create stress on the muscles. Training provides the stimulus, but recovery is when the body repairs, adapts, and gets stronger.

Recovery helps:

* Build and repair muscle
* Improve strength and performance
* Reduce the risk of injury
* Manage fatigue and stress
* Support better sleep, energy, and overall health

Recovery isn’t just about taking a day off. Sleep, nutrition, hydration, stress management, and rest days all play a role.

More training doesn’t always mean better results. If we’re constantly pushing our bodies without giving them enough time and resources to recover, we can actually slow our progress.

Remember:

TRAIN → RECOVER → ADAPT → PROGRESS

Rest isn’t being lazy. Rest is part of the program.

More Ab Workouts ≠ More Visible Abs.

One of the biggest misconceptions in fitness is thinking that endless core exercises will automatically give you abs.

The truth? You can build your abs in the gym, but nutrition helps reveal them.

When it comes to fat loss, creating a consistent calorie deficit is key. Exercise matters, but you can’t out-train an inconsistent diet.

This is why so many people burn themselves out doing more cardio, more workouts, and more restriction—only to get frustrated when they don’t see the results they want.

My job as a health coach isn’t to make you work harder.

It’s to educate you, give you a strategy, and help you build habits you can actually sustain.

If you’re tired of going in circles and ready to make a permanent lifestyle change, send me a message. Let’s get started. 💪🏽 @unfinishedlifestyle
