One of the best weekends I’ve had in a long while. Got to celebrate one of my best friend’s 50th birthday with a group of incredible women. It was a weekend of rainbow colored caftans, flowing rosé, book exchanges and reading on the beach, delicious food, and storytelling that made us laugh so hard we cried. A lettuce ban, lethal mosquitos and hazardous air quality couldn’t stop this crew from having a ball.

We each brought a book that was meaningful to us and did an exchange, blind date white elephant style.

Check out the stack we brought! Can you guess which book I contributed? Or, if you were invited to bring a book for this exchange, what would you bring?

Send this to a friend who you’d like to plan a bookish girls’s trip with! 📚💕

🏷️ book exchange, book lovers, girls trip, beach reading, rosé all day

The one time in the year when a twenty picture carousel simply isn’t enough. What a wild year it’s been. Whilst I may not have boarded as many flights as the last, it was surely made up for with a revolving door of beloved faces who came to visit. 🖤

Still, a fervent traveller, I’ve managed to dip my toes on many new soils, continued to mark my territory all through London, and snuck in and out of good ol’ Singapore more than I planned to.

Wrapping up the first full year in a new city, my heart is grateful for finding new friendships and building on old ones. All against the backdrop of a beautiful city that wakes peacefully with pink sunrises and glows breathtakingly under the spotlight of golden sunsets.

Here’s 2024’s report card:
Flights: 50
Visitors: 35
Cities/Towns: 19 (14 new)
Countries: 7

The abject joy of a summer well spent ✨

The places *are* the people and this summer I saw many wonderful places.

Summer for life ☀️

#HBD to this ‘fascinating’ lady classing it up on Derby Day back when NYC was still a playground and we could drink juleps all day in the sun. 🍹☀️👒 Love you and miss you @nikinac! You bring the light to every room. Here’s to another year of sparkle and joy! ✨

Happy hour in a time of social distancing. The irony is that this is the closest I've come to seeing these friends on the daily since we all lived in NYC. Dialing in for these regular updates from Manhattan, Milan, Hudson and (now that she's back from Nicaragua) L.A. has been a valued source of sanity in an otherwise destabilizing world.

Bye bye NYC. After four perfect days of food, fun and friends, it's finally time to say goodbye. Hard not to feel like coming home though it still feels fresh every time. 🌇🌸🍸🌷💖 #wheredreamsaremadeof #theselightswillinspireyou #streetart #lowereastside #nyc
