Motor City Percussion 2026

To say this year was without hardship would be a bold faced lie. This ensemble endured through so, so much and always bounced back. I’m endlessly proud of the way these kids turned a corner and bought in. The result is always something I do my best not to worry about throughout the course chasing excellence with these performers, but it’s hard to ignore when they break organization records and make history.
Highest score at WGI Finals for MCP ever. And they did it twice.
Tied the highest placement the ensemble has historically achieved.
Those are accomplishments they get to take home with them.

I tell the kids every year “it’s different here.”
This usually comes in the middle of a big speech, but the context is important. This year it was different here because of the way the ensemble adapted and overcame. It was different because despite the infinite amount of roadblocks thrown in our way, the staff and members of MCP always responded. The final result for MCP 2026 is a testament to the work these kids put in every weeknd. Their consistent ability to step up to the plate and deliver when it mattered paid off for them on Saturday. I’ll miss my weekends with this group dearly. Until we meet again. See you soon MCP.

Huge shoutout to @keg_bez18 @renaissent and @grass.was.here for these fantastic photos.

Motor city percussion “leave the light on” 26
This is by doubt my favorite season and it started off thinking I wouldn’t even make it until @big_ern2016 said “you guys should try out for motor” thinking sure bro then making rack for motor
and us getting being awestruck then being told I had a chance to switch to Drumset and thinking I have no shot till Nikki, Ernie, Clark, Chris, will, Hakeem, Lauren, Eleanor, Caleb, all believed in me and I thought they were crazy but they believed in me and look at me now living my dream this season really showed me how to persevere towards drumming and to believe in my self thank you for everything @motorcitypercussion

Thank you Motor City Percussion for an incredible season! I’m so grateful for all the opportunities this group has given me and the lifelong friends I’ve made here. The support of my friends across different groups has meant so much to me. Making history at Motor this year in Dayton is something I will always be proud of! Let’s see where next year takes us! 👀 All gas, no brakes.

It’s always fun going to see my favorite boys. 4 shows this time. It was a blast. I wouldn’t get stuck in Toronto for any other band. I met lots of friends and made new ones. Passed out over 100 bracelets. I had the best time. See you next tour ❤️🖤
