We asked models in the middle of New York Fashion Week one question:

“Give us ONE word to describe this season’s castings.”

Their answers? 👀

Let’s just say… they had thoughts.

What would YOUR one word be?

“FADE TO GREY” Spring Summer 2027

🗓️: Thursday, 17/09/2026
🕒: 03:00 P.M.
📍: @spacehouselondon , 1 Kemble Street, London WC2B 4AN, United Kingdom

💬: Borrowing the title from the noteworthy British new wave group, Visage’s celebrated 1980 hit for his Spring Summer 2027 collection, and with a clubby ambiance to the after-dark scenography that recalled heady memories of the former Blitz nightclub (apparently in close proximity to this skyscraper’s subterranean space), #mithridate ’s creative director, #danielwfletcher decided to pay homage to the 1980s in a his-and-hers grouping of 46 looks that derived inspiration from the exuberance of the New Romantics in terms of their appeal, attire and outlook — from spiffy military jackets with belted cummerbunds in zany colour choices that seemed to appear quite jarring for the untrained eye, to a steady stream of balletic elements such as Look N°20’s pink tutu underneath a striped leotard (snaps unfastened, nonetheless) over a pair of oversize trousers, and accompanied by a frothy tulle boa, along with a couple of striped scarves that seemed to appear airborne as if in a dance routine of their own.
