THE REALITY OF BEING A MODEL! 🔥 | @nikitasweeney28 AT LONDON FASHION WEEK 🇬🇧

We caught up with @nikitasweeney28, a Liverpool-based model, at London Fashion Week!
She opened up about what it's really like walking the runway — having to maintain a straight face and hold back her personality while modeling, even when there's so much more going on behind the scenes! 🎥
Despite that challenge, Nikita enjoyed the experience, walking for @cathyneale_fashion_designer and @lv_teddygram.

Special thanks to @thefashionlifetour and @hoifashionweeklondon

HALLOWEEN UPCYCLE | PART 3 ✨
What started as a £5 Vinted costume is getting closer to its final form… 👀
For this stage, I needed more volume, so I created a custom underskirt using a donated wedding dress combined with leftover fabrics from previous wedding dress upcycles.
I love projects like this because they prove that beautiful materials don’t have to be used just once. ♻️
After a lot of unpicking, cutting, pinning and sewing, the petticoat is finally finished and ready for Sunday’s Halloween shoot, which is shaping up to be my biggest Creative Connections one yet. 🎃
Then came the question every designer secretly loves…
“Do you have any wigs?” 🤣
Cue Dolly modelling what feels like half my wig collection while we explored the options.
Can you guess what I’m going to be? 👀
⚠️ I’ve had 2 spaces become available for Sunday’s shoot: 📸 1 Model 💄 1 MUA

🎃✨ HALLOWEEN UPCYCLE | PART 2 ✨🎃
This costume started life as a £5 Vinted find.
When it arrived, I could see the potential… but I could also see everything I wanted to change.
So far I’ve:
✂️ Replaced the centre front panel and ruffles with black satin & lace
🪡 Lengthened the front bodice
🖤 Added length to the skirt
👗 Extended the sleeves with an extra inner ruffle
✨ Added lace trim and hand-sewn details
It’s amazing what a few thoughtful changes can do. The whole look already feels more polished, dramatic and elevated.
One of the reasons I taught myself to sew in the first place was because I’m 5’11” and could never find clothes I loved that actually fit properly. Dresses were too short, sleeves were too short, waists sat in the wrong place… so I started altering and making things myself.
What started as fixing clothes turned into designing them.
Even after showcasing a collection at London Fashion Week, I still get excited about transforming a £5 Vinted find into something wearable. ❤️
For Part 3, I’m taking apart a donated wedding dress to create an underskirt and add some serious volume.
I love a good upcycle. There’s something so satisfying about seeing the potential in a garment and giving it a whole new life rather than throwing it away.
If you’ve ever bought something you loved but wished it fitted better, you’ll understand exactly why I do what I do.
Now tell me… can you guess what I’m going to be for Halloween? 👀🎃
Keep a lookout for Part 3 and the final reveal for Sunday’s shoot.

This was without a doubt my favourite look from the show. 🤍✨
From designing and creating the gown to styling the final look and handcrafting the illuminated wings, this piece perfectly captured the vision I had in my head from the very beginning.
This reel takes you behind the scenes from creation, fittings and preparation through to the House of iKons runway.
Featured as part of my London Fashion Week showcase and later included in @voguescandinavia , this look will always hold a special place in my heart.
The show featured a creative collaboration with LoVe Teddy @lv_teddygram and music by @mrkellyking_official,bringing together fashion, art and performance.
A huge thank you to @hoifashionweeklondon and Savita Kaye for providing such a fabulous platform for independent designers to showcase their work.
Looking back at everything that went into creating 15 runway looks, 6 teddy looks and styling the entire collection, I’m proud of what was achieved.
Dreams really can become reality. ✨🤍

🎃✨ Halloween Upcycle: Day 1 ✨🎃
I’ve always loved Halloween, so when I spotted this costume on Vinted I knew it had potential… but the fit definitely wasn’t working.
One of the main reasons I taught myself to sew was because I’m 5’11” and could never find clothes I loved that actually fit properly. Too short, wrong proportions, not quite right. Sound familiar? 😅
Instead of giving up on garments, I learned how to transform them.
So that’s exactly what I’m doing with this Halloween costume. Day 1 starts with unpicking, altering and replacing the fabric to create something that feels much more me.
As a designer, I love seeing possibilities where other people see problems. ✨
Follow along for Part 2 and the transformation.

When you design, create and style not one collection… but TWO for London Fashion Week ✨
Alongside creating 15 runway looks, I also designed and created 6 teddy looks, including these illuminated white wings and black teddy wings.
One of the biggest highlights of the experience was being able to bring members of my Creative Connections community with me. From the models to the photographers, seeing our talent on the House of iKons runway made me so proud of everyone!🖤
The collection featured the iconic LoVe Teddy @lv_teddygram as part of a collaboration alongside music from @mrkellyking_official bringing together fashion, art and performance on one stage. 🧸✨
Huge thanks to @hoifashionweeklondon and Brenda for the opportunity and to everyone who played a part in the journey. The entire team absolutely smashed it.
Feeling grateful, blessed and proud of everything we achieved.
As for next year… I’m putting it out to the universe now 😜✨
House of iKons 2027, I’m coming for you. 😁
