1- Manger des frites avec @douglascoupland. (Reportage sur « son » Vancouver à lire bientôt dans @ledevoirplaisirs).
2- Retrouver ma chère amie @nikkibayley et Teddy. 🐾
3, 4, 5, 6- Profiter du premier anniversaire du @muchafoundationartmuseum pour redécouvrir Prague et suivre les traces de l’artiste jusqu’en Moravie (j’ai enfin vu l’Épopée slave!). Interviewer Marcus Mucha, son arrière-petit-fils.
7- Tomber sur des bonbons d’Halloween oubliés. (Il y avait des rouges! C’est sûr que je vais pogner le cancer du colorant rouge…)
8- Publication de mon reportage sur le Liechtenstein (voyage effectué en septembre 2025)

15- Parfaite journée de décrochage au spa @awusanctuary avec mon humaine-préférée-du-monde-entier! 🫶🏻
16- Reportage sur des lieux coups de ❤️ au Québec dans @bel_age.
17- Reportage dans @curium.mag sur le brûlage culturel.
18, 19- Conférence @travelmediaca avec l’amie @nancybordeleau et plein de collègues des quatre coins du Canada à @visitrichmondbc.
20- Espionner « subtilement » ma fille et ses copines à l’aéroport (on est parties le même soir, mais pas pour la même destination.) 🤭 Prendre une photo de paparazzi. Me sentir comme quand je la suivais de loin en route vers l’école au primaire, cachée dans les buissons. (Rassurez-vous, je lui ai foutu la paix! 😆)

Chef Ly Nguyen, also known as Mom, came to Canada in 1980 with nothing but a loving husband, new born baby and memories of cooking with her mom.

Thankfully with the support from Canadian ‘Anh’ and ‘Chi’ (brothers and sisters) including settlement workers, small business owners, and fellow refugees, who helped navigate her young family with food, clothing, shelter and employment, eventually, they started a family business serving authentic Vietnamese food.

Who knew she would be the one of the very first Vietnamese Canadian woman to earn a Michelin Bib Gourmand, and grew her family to over 100 young and inspiring leaders in the hospitality industry.

“She’s taught us about family, resilience, and the power of discipline and hard work — through being the first one at the restaurant, and the last one to eat (and sleep) after her kids and grandkids.

This Mother’s Day, we wish all of the mother-figures a day of reflection, celebrating all of your sacrifices and achievements as Mom, and much magical moments with your loved ones. May we all keep dreaming and making this life as positive and delicious for everyone!
