April was a powerful reminder of what happens when community, culture, and coffee come together. ☕✨

From back-to-back pop-ups to spring markets and community activations, The Black Coffee DMV team showed up across the region all month long—bringing fresh brews, good energy, and meaningful connections to every space we entered.

We kicked off the month with first Saturday at Faherty @fahertybrand, then a huge day on April 11, serving at both the Faherty Art Blooms event at Mosaic District @mosaicdistrict and the Canterbury Woods Spring Market. Two events, one day, countless conversations, and a lot of coffee poured.

The momentum continued at Social Serve DC @thesocialservedc, where we had the opportunity vibe out at the Jr. Tennis Champions Center @jtcctennis —another example of how coffee can help build connection beyond the cup.

Mid-month, we joined the Rutherford Spring Craft Market, sharing the Black Coffee experience with new customers, local makers, and longtime supporters.

Then came April 25—a full-circle Black Coffee kind of day. We started the morning with our signature Driveway Pop-Up, keeping the neighborhood fueled, then closed out the month at Metro Bar DC @metrobardc for Petals & Pop @artbaeonline, bringing Black Coffee vibes to one of the season’s most vibrant spring markets.

Across seven events in one month, what stood out most wasn’t just the volume—it was the community:
• New customers discovering Black Coffee for the first time
• Returning supporters showing love at multiple stops
• Partnerships strengthened through every activation
• A team that continues to execute with heart, hustle, and excellence

April 2026 was about more than pop-ups. It was about movement.

Thank you to every organizer, partner, customer, and supporter who made this month possible. And major appreciation to the Black Coffee DMV team for showing what it means to build community one cup at a time.

This recap reel is just a glimpse—May, we’re coming with more. 🚐☕

The Reading Relay Sprint is a daily commitment to growth through focused reading. Every
evening at 8 pm Eastern Time, the community gathers on Zoom to read together in silence for
forty-five minutes.

How to participate:

1. Log onto Zoom at 8 pm Eastern Time.

2. Introduce yourself and the book of your choice.

3. A forty-five-minute timer begins, and everyone reads in silence.

This sprint happens every day of the week. You can join as often as your personal goals require.
This is not a book club. The Reading Relay Sprint is about discipline, focus, and showing up consistently. The act of reading side by side with others builds accountability and reminds you that you are not running this race alone.

Happy Earth Day from Artbae!🌎♻️🎨💚🩵
Today, we’re throwin’ it back to a moment that still gives us chills - the Head Above the Water Festival at @nlwaterpark in National Landing!

This celebration of art, music, and environmental consciousness brought all the magical vibes, as our iconic flagship species, @iansethemba established by @carymichael_, reminded us all of the power we hold to create a greener, more sustainable world - one action, one choice, one creation at a time!

From sculptures made of recycled materials ♻️ to interactive eco-exhibits 🌿 and soul-stirring performances 🎶, we witnessed the beauty that blooms when community and creativity come together for a cause that matters.

Let’s carry that energy forward - today and EVERY day.
Plant a seed 🌱. Reduce your waste 🧴. Use your voice ✊. Make art that speaks 🎨. Be the change!

Call to action:
What’s one small step you can take today for the planet? Drop it in the comments & tag us — we wanna celebrate your green wins!

Big love to @seanxoxo_ for capturing the heart of the festival in our official video recap. Watch it. Repost it. Reflect. Let’s keep the wave going.
