10 years…and yet today feels like 10 days.
I can’t really put into words the depth of the void of not having you physically here. It hurts in ways that I can’t even describe.
We still miss you so much, Luc.
BUT GOD!
I take comfort in knowing that you are in the presence of our Heavenly Father.
I take comfort in knowing that you are exploring the wonders of heaven with your Paw Paw and so many other loved ones who have joined you in paradise.
I take comfort in knowing that we are STILL surrounded by people who both knew you and know of you and they continue to extend their love to us.

So in the midst of the pain we are still thankful and it has led me to my purpose…

Through your legacy we have served many sickle cell warriors like you and will continue to do so. God is using the impact of your legacy to touch the lives of many children across this country and in that we also take comfort.

Thank you to everyone who came out to The LucStrong 10th Annual Kickball Tournament Fundraiser! We had an incredible time giving a kick to sickle cell disease.

Many teams competed and four made it to the playoffs. The rivalry was back with Team DHL and Team Stolen Glory making it to The LucStrong Bowl. Team DHL won 5-2 and secured their 4th championship in 5 years! CONGRATULATIONS to them and thank you to all who competed and supported. Thank you also to our sponsors: Chick-fil-A (Victory & Fallbrook), Astek, DD’s Chick & Cat Shack, & Live The Word. The foundation and the families we serve are blessed by it!
