Baseball Pre-Season (3 Weeks til Opening Day)
Week 1, Day 1

*Training session is from yesterday*

3-Station Prep
Full Body Lift

Illinois high school baseball season is almost here. With this week being their first week of practice, my point of emphasis for these guys in the weeks leading up to opening day is to move some good weight well and feel fresh and fast for game 1.

We do a 3-Station Prep as an extension to our dynamic warm-up that primes the body for their main course of the lift.

It’s important that we check all the boxes here by getting some lower/upper strength work, plyos, med ball throws and then cap it off with some hamstring and rotator cuff work.

Another purpose here in the coming weeks is to get these guys accustomed to exact/like-movements that we are going to be doing during the in-season. If I introduce new movements too late, their bodies and nervous system will pay the price for it, which is not what we want as we start playing games. Yeah it might not be flashy, but flashy doesn’t get the job done. The basics work just fine at this point of the year.

3-Station Prep
Full Body Lift

Last lift of week zero. With being just a few days away from opening day, the goal for this lift is to move well and move fast and feel ready to go 100 mph by first pitch this coming Tuesday.
