Now that you have seen the second piece of the new “Pieces of Me” collection. I would love to tell you all about it.

I often imagine the person before i imagine the garment. This dress began with Fiona, whom I met at a housewarming party and have stayed connected with ever since. Knowing her brought back a time when friendship felt impossible and confusion, fear, anger, and happiness blurred together. The drapes translate that feeling into fabric: emotions overlapping, gathering, and falling into one another. This piece holds the tenderness of realizing how much I have changed. Feelings i once struggled to understand have deepened my capacity to connect, to welcome people in, and to love.

Back view of look one of the latest “Pieces of Me” collection. Now that you have seen the 360°, I would love to tell you a little about this piece.
This piece is a portrait of my younger self, caught between wanting to hide and wanting to be seen. Fabric slips from the shoulders and the breasts, like the skin I could never quite feel comfortable in. The exposed body holds vulnerability and a growing rebellion. The urge to choose who I could become. Beneath that unease, little Lulu carries so much light. She has yet to recognize her own strength, but she is on the edge of thriving.
