✨after 250+ curly clients, with 13+ years as a product chemist, stop doing these if you are tired of frizz: 1. Stop the Buildup: your leave in conditioner contains: Chloride + silicone. It’s the worse combination especially for fine hair. It blocks the strands and weigh it down and build up a lot faster than washes away. —— 2. You scrunched during diffusing: That definition settling is the whole point. Scrunch the crunch out after it’s bone dry not while diffusing. —— 3. Stop the coconut oil: Your shampoo and conditioner contain: coconut oil, sulfates. Coconut oil is occlusive and weighs hair down. The sulfates strip the roots off their protective natural gland. The result is unbalance oil distribution and buildup. —— 4. Stop using the wrong gels and mousse: Gels containing VP copolymers, PVP and other artificial polymers build up on hair and scalp, block out moisture, make hair stiff, and cause frizzy stringy hair. —— 5. Not using protein: Your hair is high porosity and you’re not sealing it. Gaps in the cuticle let water leave as fast as it came in — so the curl swells, then collapses. Seal with protein. —— 6. Stop styling on damp hair: Your products need water to film evenly around each strand — apply them on half-dry hair and the cast forms around air, not curl. Style on dripping-wet hair, every time. —— 7. Stop oiling your hair: hair oil is blocking everything. ✨curly hair is so much simpler than what the inter wants you to think! 🔸I have helped 250+ curly clients with 13+ years as PhD product chemist and if you want healthy hair: 1. Stacking leave-in with cream and hair oil makes your curly life harder not easier! 👉🏼 use a structuring curl definer that is not a cream-like consistency. Like a botanical gel. 2. Frizz is too many products u each other! 👉🏼 hair sprays, conditioning masks and products with heavy oil give you more frizz than you think. 3. Damaged hair needs protein not too much moisture! 👉🏼 hair damage from UV, heat, chemicals means protein is lost and damaged. Add a protein booster to your existing products if hair is damaged. 4. Protein in shampoo and conditioner gets all washed away! 👉🏼 protein bonds are hydrogen bonds. They break and get washed away with water. If tour hair needs protein ise it after showering. 5. Tight hairstyles are doing more damage than you think! 👉🏼 they not only damage hair protein but mess with oxygen and sebum flow in the scalp, causing itchiness and breakage. Go for loose or open hair styles. 6. Gels with PVP and VA and cream with silicones and chlorides are making your routine harder, not easier! 👉🏼these ingredients are irritating to scalp and build up on strands causing dryness and roughness and frizz. ✨curls turning frizzy and just won’t hold shape? After helping 250+ curly clients as a@PhD product chemist, the reason is among these: 1. Not actually using a gel: And I’m not talking about gels with PVP or VA copolymers and loads of microplastic! I’m talking natural gels with plant gums and cellulose! If you’re not using a gel don’t expect hold or frizz controlling for your curls. —— 2. Stacking creams and oil: Let me guess, you ise a hair mask, then a leave-in conditioner, then a hair cream, and you glaze some lux hair oil after drying your hair…?🙈 So many of my clients had heavy product buildup and oils and cream are softeners not holders or shapers. Use either a cream or leave-in and stop the hair mask for a while, most people don’t need it as often as they think. —— 3. You shampoo contains coconut oil 🙈 —— 4. Your conditioner contains coconut oil or a mix of some chloride and Dimethicone 🙈 —— 5. You don’t use a diffuser but air dry the while way. —— 6. You scrunch your curls while diffusing. —— 7.
