Heavy Cream butter -simple, add H. Cream and a dash of salt and mix on M/H speeds til goes through the steps and butter is the final result. Put in ice cold water, squeeze out excess water and form, refrigerate and then get to baking some homemade copycat Texas rolls. Perfect afternoon project and we enjoyed it all for supper. #midwest_mompreneur #midwest_life_style #pinterest #bakingfromscratch #homesteadlife #faith #food #family

Winter reset, take time to be ok with being ok to be bored, read, stay home, bake, sing, organize, declutter, make future plans, daydream, call someone to catch up, do the things you've been to busy to do. The seasons have purpose and winter is a time for more rest... me personally- I'm not mad about it. If I could tell my "younger self" one thing to do over- it would be to slow down and be in the moment more. I also believe it's something we have to re-teach ourselves. As a society we have been educated to grind through the days, to be successful, to make money, keep up with the Jones's. The marketing purpose is for "STUFF" not memories made, adventures taken, quiet moments enjoyed, that the little things matter. Grinding doesn't buy you time or health and without Rest~Rewind~Reset we loose the latter. New week ~ new mindset ~ New habits can be started any day of the week. Have an awesome year. 2024
