This year, the “black issue” of Vogue Ukraine turns 10. This is a very special issue for me. Not only because it is my first issue as the magazine’s art director. The cover and cover story created by photographer @elizavetaporodina and stylist @juliepelipas changed the direction of the magazine and the idea of what a Vogue cover should look like. The cinematic photo story with the brother @nilsschoof and sister @louschoof was inspired by Ingmar Bergman’s movies and the film “Piano” with music by Michael Nyman. Here is a short video, reimagined and remixed by me to celebrate the anniversary of this revolutionary issue.
