Great 2nd day of canvassing in Bakersfield, CA for Randy Villegas @villegasforcongress to flip U.S. House district CA-22 from red to blue! I had a lot of good conversations with voters, some had already voted for Randy! Volunteers including myself enjoyed breakfast & dinner, being in community! Proud to spend my birthday weekend helping get out the vote for Democrats!

Thank you to lead organizers of the canvass for Randy Villegas including DNC Member Laurence Zakson; California Democratic Party @cademocrats (CADEM) Executive Board Member & Westside Democratic Headquarters @westsidedemhq (WDHQ) Chair Emeritus Jane Wishon @janewishon; CADEM Chicano/Latino Caucus Chair & Avance @avancedemclub President Nilza Serrano @nilzaserrano; & to the entire canvass planning committee, which I am proud to participate in as a member of the planning committee!

Next weekend we will be canvassing in Prop 50 battleground district CA-48 in Escondido for Democrat Marni von Wilpert @cm_marnivonwilpert for Congress!

This is how we build the blue wave, everyone doing everything they can to support, volunteer, & donate to Democrats up & down the ballot! Make a vote plan, tell everyone you know to vote for Democrats! 🌊🎉🌈😍🗳️

Thank you, @beautybyalby, for always taking such great care of me! 💕

Did you know that right here in Ward 2, we have Phenix Salon Suites? It’s home to so many talented local beauty professionals, each with their own little salon space where they can build their business, serve their clients, and grow as entrepreneurs.

For today’s Tuesday Small Business Tour, I want to highlight Alba! ✨

Alba, who works alongside the incredibly talented @hairbysantiago.santiago, is a mother of four who somehow always finds a way to work with my crazy schedule. And, of course, she always leaves my hair exactly how I like it! 💇🏽‍♀️❤️

Small businesses like Alba’s are part of what makes Ward 2 special. When we support local entrepreneurs, we’re supporting our neighbors, our families, and people working hard to build something of their own.

A couple of Sundays ago, I had the incredible opportunity to speak at the Latinos Con Bass event and represent Youth for Bass. 💙

It was such a meaningful experience to stand alongside community leaders and organizers and have the opportunity to speak about the importance of youth civic engagement and participation. Much love to my Youth 4 Bass, my family, whom, as I said in my speech, are my "Why?".

A special thank you to Mayor Karen Bass and everyone who made this event possible for welcoming young people into these conversations and creating space for our voices to be heard.

I’m proud to continue growing as a student, speaker, and community leader, and I’m excited for everything still ahead. ✨

Proud to volunteer with Los Angeles County Democratic Party @lademocrats (LACDP) in connection with City of Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass @karenbassla & LA Councilmember (District 14) Ysabel Jurado @cd14losangeles in Boyle Heights at Hollenbeck Park!

It was a very nice back-to-school community event to provide local families & students with essential resources! Boyle Heights is a vibrant, resilient community that experienced the awful Lineage warehouse fire & its ongoing effects.

I am thankful to Mayor Bass, Councilmember Jurado, LACDP, & Democrats showing up in the community!

Let’s not forget this is what American looks like. Pvt. Isabella Gonzales, 19, of 1st Battalion, 57th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 52nd Air Defense Artillery Brigade, 10th Army Air Missile Defense Command, she was killed in an Iranian strike on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan. She is seen here during a ceremony. Let’s not forget this American warrior face and the warriors American last names. 🇺🇸

A beautiful tribute to my friend, Irene Huerta, a Labor icon and warrior for justice. South Coast Labor honored her for her extraordinary work. Irene’s accomplishments include founding @avancedemclub and fighting to end solitary confinement. She is a force for good, and I am smart enough always to choose to be on her team.
